United KingdomDuckstation runs pretty slow in comparison to an OG PS1 let alone a PS2 with fast disc speed. With games on Duckstation that don't require the game to load every 10 seconds or less it runs great, but games like RE with it having to load every single screen transition and door sequence the emulator really struggles with loading times. Even with Dino Crisis 2 its very slow. Otherwise Duckstation runs great, input response is very good. But the inconsistency of the loading times does take a few days to adjust to if you are used to either OG hardware or the legacy emu. With the skip you are talking about, might be under the 'Major gltiches' category instead of the 'No major glitches' one but i'm not too sure cos i havn't heard about the acid skip before, Hope this helps you :)

Its ok I'm used to manually splitting with console runs. Just with the steam version you can't just click and go to make it work on modern PC's. I had to download a patch just to get past the FMV problem so i could actually play the game. But i use a PS3 pad for literally everything and I couldn't get the pad mapped to the PC even with joy2key. I would love to run this on Playstation as this was originally made and designed for the Playstation. I just thought if you added a Playstation category for emu and console then it would spark some interest.

Its nice seeing a side by side comparison of this in action. I remember you trying the emulator on your stream and you could tell straight away it was running slightly faster. A seperate category should be made IMO :)

I've recently been doing runs on the dolphin emulator but it has some problems with the audio in places, for example it sounds like a CD skipping. As far as i know it doesn't effect gameplay but the runs won't be verified until i find a fix. I originally got told it was just the way dolphin is for the RE2 port however this is not the case. (Doh!) I've noticed for other people it still has the same sound glitch on other sounds, for example when you go down a ladder then sound is cut off at the end of each step. Or in some rooms you won't be able to hear your running foosteps in some places, or it fades in or out. Any help appreciated :) Thank you

funny you should say that my sourcenext re2 is doing the same thing, FMV's wouldnt play but you could hear them. Just randomly started doing it like a week ago roughly. A win10 update must have broken stuff :) #standard
Its just the original BH2 version. Ever since using a different BIOS it has been ok. Only time i had it freeze previously was with Claire a as stated above earlier. Its still early days using this. ive only completed 1 run of each character so far. If i do run into anymore problems i'll let you know on here :)

Ahhh Thank you! I tried a Leon A and got to phase 2 of Birkin without any crashes but then i died so didn't actually make it to the end, would be funny if it crashed on the Birkin death scene. But to be sure I will use one of those bios from now on.
