i dont think any mod will add a random forum user. and: trust me, you dont want to be a mod.
if you have the video file on your pc use LosslessCut to cut the actual run part into a separate video then upload to youtube. if its on twitch you can create a highlight.
you can add a new value and set it as "user defined" but i dont think that the leaderboards take these into count when ordering the list.
you could also use the hours as your item count ex: 121:50:20 would be 12 items in 1:50:20. thats quite messy and confusing if you dont understand the category but it would work
the "at this time" literally means nothing. like i said before theyve accepted multiple chess and solitaire games and seterra(whatever it was) which is a "geography game". ive also got "educational games" through
i want to add the danganronpa series to matse's list
only thing you can really do is cut up your video or find another video host thatll take longer than 12h videos
but they are not "good" runs by anyone in this thread's standards, so I'm not going to bother sharing
a run being good is different from a game being a good to run so just go ahead and link a video or two. would be interesting to see
I'm not going to bother sharing them just to have them get shit on.
we dont "shit on" runs here even if we dont agree with your opinion
if the mods have been inactive on the site then contact them on their socials and if they dont respond then write a support hub request to take over it as a mod.
now note if the game is popular like minecraft or something youll just need to be patient as they get a lot of submissions
the choises dont make enough difference to compete against someone (at least in a fun way). like i said previously youll hold skip and have your mouse where the next right option will be and when that option comes up you spam click to hit it as early as possible so the only way you can be faster than someone is if they clicked a tad slower than you did. but on one choice button the difference between two "top level" runners wouldnt be more than like 0.2 or something per choice and lets say the game has 10 choice parts so thatll be 2 seconds of time difference and the whole speedrun is just who can click 10 times the fastest with cutscenes in between.
of course like you said there may be glitches you can abuse and to that like merl said you need to explain those glitches in your game submission. at least i assume the people looking over the games will just quickly skim through the included video if its a VN since the chance of it being more than "hold skip" is low.
that text was a mess but hopefully youll be able to understand at least some of it
im genuinely curious to know how you think that those kinds of vns are "good speedgames"? i havent played all too many vns but the few i have played all had a skip button which you hold down and then at a speed you chose in the settings it would clear text so wouldnt that literally be all you do? alogn with holding your cursor where the next correct option will be and spam click to move on as fast as you can.
