It does allow you to skip violet without the R button so... half useful?

This worked with time trails (I played warp zone), The only exception is the final level.
How I replicated it is on the iPad version (not pc) go to menu>quit then SPAM THE MENU AS HARD AS POSSIBLE, stop when the screen turns black.
(Turn up your volume!)
Now play blind untill you hear a checkpoint; once you do, close the app and reopen it, Finally continue your save file.
I was playing time trials and tried to quit bet the screen turned black, but I still heard viridian so I reopened vvvvvv and...
I found a way to skip all of the chapters up to chapter 5 and fall through the floor in the VVVVVV section! to do this glitch, you have to quit the file then hit "New game" then while your cursor is invisible hit "Continue", you will enter the level, then the fade-out will complete, then you will be at the chapter select screen with the next chapter unlocked.
