Ah, yeah, it makes the back end so much simpler as well.
So, went ahead and condensed all the Full Game runs into a single categories marked with sub categories for each platform. Just made sense when I was thinking about it; and makes it look a lot cleaner.
This it?
Seems like the easiest would be the moment that the boss's health bar turns literally turns black, because there is no more HP. The first frame of the cut scene makes sense as well. There is a pretty clear line when the camera shifts from "this is normal game play" to "this is now a cut-scene." Easiest to work with something that changes in one frame that indicates the game is over.
I'm an idiot though, so probably not even linking the right game.
Gotcha. Is there is an optimal spot as far as distance out he needs to be? Like, between the first and second black lines? Seems like lining the fin up with the boat, while annoying, wasn't too hard, but even when I nailed the strobe, it still seems like maybe he's too far back or too close to hit him?
Haven't save stated yet, as it took me a few tries to get to Jaws like 3 times. But everything, just couldn't nail that last hit. I'll have to try that tonight.
Pretty much got everything down except the last hit on Jaws. Any tips for lining that up; it's literally driving me insane.
Nope. Have to set up two sub-variables, one for the first full-game category, and one for the second. Just have to manually duplicate and assign to specific category. (I assume just assigning the subs to all categories is not an option because there are other full-game categories besides those two that would not be relevant).
Yeah, I've having problems with the gtx 760 at the moment; could be pretty useful considering an Xbox One used is about the same price as HDMI capture card. I can route different computers to it and stream from there, and worry less about the graphics card crashing OBS in the middle of a stream.
I guess it would really come down to if it had a way of some sort of basic overlay or timer, or something.
I feel his pain. I did it in 2 seconds, but Twitch dropped all 120 frames, smh. Can I still submit?
Xbox one has an hdmi input? Gonna keep that in mind.
Yea after like the 3rd or 4th time it happened, I figured it must be intentional. I'm only started on the normal, and the level right below the roof area. I'm guessing this location doesn't actually speed anything up since you have to kill the same amount of igt?
Was trying to do an Advanced Run real quick, but check this out.
I mean, DDLC pretty much explains itself "I know they don’t really support visual novels, but I don’t care!"
3 AM at Krusty Krab doesn't look like a visual novel to me.
Generally when games get rejected, there's a "reason" field.
So, is the predominant strategy exactly what it looks like? Pretty much hoping that either 4 or 5-letter word guesses work? I mean, I see that some would be easily, particular 2 letter, or two word answers with unique character counts, but I'm guessing the rest is basically just guessing and if the guess is wrong the run is dead?
Or is something else going on that isn't just obvious looking at it?
'Ello.
So, just thought I'd give a quick tip to anyone who might be interested in running this.
At the start, when you pull the launch all the way down and release it, the ball will follow the same path. It's not a particularly great path; takes time and you only cross the 500 point gate once.
However, I noticed during the grind that if you release the launch slightly before it's maximum position (unsure of the timing of this, but it appears to be near the moment the launch extends from his penultimate position to it's maximized position) then there is a consistent path that results in the player getting 10810 points in 19 seconds, before the player even gets a chance to hit the ball.
Might have to practice a few times, but you'll see what I'm talking about relatively easily. There are only so many opening paths onto the board.
Also, not sure if such a thing exists in Game B as well yet. Not particularly useful or relevant to Saving Pauline either.

Run up for 24+ days. Mod hasn't been active for months now. His twitch has been more or less inactive. He's on twitter, but not very much, and it doesn't appear to involve himself with speedrunning anymore.
Also, series of the same name has similar scenario.~~
Randomly back on. No longer necessary.
Tfw you make the password the name of the level:

Yeah, now I see it. That is weird it works fine then lags out like that. On top of the other advice you got, I'd check your GPU load (make sure you GPU isn't getting close to 99% usage, that will more or less do that), reduce settings a bit. Might be worth checking out obsproject.com and the forum there. Might be able to get more specific trouble shooting going on.
I'm not sure what the problem with the video is? In what regard did OBS not work?
In any case, if OBS isn't working, my suggest would be use a different recording program such as XSplit, or whatever software might come along with your graphics card. In the event none of that works, I'd be looking into some manner of recording the screen with a camera that's good enough quality to avoid issues.
