Due to Lemmings having so many platforms (38 on SRC, and even more not on it) we have a special moderation system where each Mod/Verifier handles specfic platforms.
Moderators and which platform/s they moderate:
- lackattack: NES
- Mellowaru: Ms-Dos, Amiga, Snes, Genesis/Mega Drive, Atari ST, NEC PC-98
- NihilistComedyHour: Currently inactive (Previously: All)
Platforms without moderators can be verified by any moderator.

If you wish to become a moderator yourself, you can do so here. A moderator application must include:
- Platform/s you wish to moderate.
- Previous experience, such as TAS, RTA, Indepth game knowlage, etc.
- Understanding of how to properly retime (RTA and IGT)
——————————
Any questions about moderation, rules, or the this site can also be asked here.
currently platform specific rules (aka "Category rules") for Snes and Genesis (and likely more) sate:
*Will add new categories for all systems since they are all different slightly in game play and such. Please see game forums for more information.
Complete all levels, whether it be 60, 100, 116, 125, or 180 levels. For the PC and GBC color versions, only the first 116 levels are required. The remaining levels are listed under the "Oh No! More Lemmings" page.
Timer starts when input is used to start first level from the pre-game info screen. Timer ends the frame when "OUT #" reaches 0 on successful run of last level (Or, in the instance of escaping the level to complete levels quicker, the first frame that the level turns completely black on fade out given a success. Each level has a time limit. Subtract your remaining time from the time limit, and add up all numbers for levels in run for in-game time.
Please check Platform Specific Rules as well.
This should be in game rules, however these dont seem to even exist currently.
Another big issue with rules in this game at the moment is that it doesnt specificfy the level of accuracy needed of the emulator.
Examples: Snes and Genesis doesnt specify that you need high accuracy emulation if playing on emulator.
Amiga doesnt require a hight accuracy emulator, as can be seen by runs by me using a absurdly speced out amiga emulation that saves up to 10 seconds per loading screen.
I'd feel like it could get people confused on why snes seems to run normaly, and than amiga runs completly unrealisticly without explaining that only some platforms need this level of accuracy. The issue with Categories not having their actually correct rules is also a problem that will definetly have people confused.
Recently the runner KeiKayGaming submitted 2 IL runs for the snes version which reminded me of the issue we had once before with the leaderboard placements of IL runners/runs. The important thing here is that one timing method preffrence is set game-wide, for Lemmings its RTA time since the main runs are done in RTA timing, however IL runs use IGT timing, which is not the "preffered" method, therefor any run that submits IGT but not RTA will be placed worse than any run that has RTA submitted no matter how slow the actual run is.
Example of leaderboard with wrong times:
How it should look (edited screenshot):
IL's with this issue: SNES F1 SNES F2 SNES TX4
NOTE: there might be more IL's with this issue, these are just the ones i know of. TX4 being the first time this issue has happened.
RECOMENDATION: Mods verifying IL runs should make sure that the time is always in IGT, if the time is givin in RTA, retime and and make sure its in IGT, when someone gives their time in the RTA field, just put it in the IGT field and write it in a quick mod note that IL times should be done in IGT.
there is a single disk version of the amiga version wich replaces the promo levels i havnt been able to get the version yet to really test around but would it be allowed for the amiga category would have potential to make the run faster
If you have an idea for a new category that you would like to see have a leaderboard send it in here and it will moast likely be added. Please describe the category you are submitting as best as you can, this includes: timing method (if diffrent from game rule timing), specific rules (ex: no wallzips), if anything anthing specific is used in the category (ex: invisible terrain) explain how to do it to make sure that everyone can easily run it, and any other things that are special about the category you are submitting. if not described good enough the category may not be added
if you want a catgory to be added ask about it in this thread
so the rules say "Time beings when inputting to start the first level (for MS-DOS, the hand cursor changes marks the input)" by cursor change is the frame ment once the cursor is thumbs up or just the first frame were it changes because there are two difrent changes.
for referance this is the normal cursor:
this is the first frame the cursor changes:
and this is the first frame were the cursor is thumbs up:
so wich one of the two is the frame were time begins
there are two official versions of dos lemmings the normal version and the CD version. in the CD version they changed the splat hight making it so that we all fall down is possible without using a singe skill. the question is: is this CD version allowed for dos runs? (note that there are two veesions of the cd version but the only diffrence is the music otherwise both are the same) (refrence vid for the CD version )
i would love if there could be categories added for each tribe becouse the entiere game is a bit long for a singe Run in my opinion
also i dont know if its allowed but i would add a working verion of dos lemmings 2 the tribes to the resources tab becouse as i found out it can be really dificult to get a fully working verion of lemmings 2 the tribes ms-dos and even the l2 cd i bought doesnt have everything aka no sound or music
edit: i got the l2 cd to work perfectly im willing to share the data if its needed
i was wondering why it is not allowed to ESC levels cuz it is allowed in the original Lemmings
