Just leaving a note here in case anyone wonders why this game is part of the Chase H.Q. series.

Even though this is not a racing game, this is indeed an official Chase H.Q. game occurring in the same universe :-) Pretty neat, right?

I was told by the super moderator of this game that I'm not allowed to contact them in DM unless "it's super super important" because "I'm trying to mod the game by myself" so I'll have to leave my comments here from now on so everyone can agree or disagree with me, as a community:

• The "Saturn" platform needs to be removed from the leaderboard's options to avoid confusion with the Saturn leaderboard here: Sega Ages OutRun (Saturn) - Speedrun.com

• I suggest all splits to be added in comments under each sub-5 run (we do that for the other leaderboards), that helps other runners to quickly find out what splits they're running against

• I was asked to show the DIP Switches at the end of all my runs (which I do all the time now) but it's to be noted that the WR runs never show those. I also think, since we can run on Easy anyway, showing the ROM version is more important than the DIP switches and should be required for all new sub-5 runs, especially with all these Enhanced OutRun ROMs in existence.

• Dahlor's Goal E run seems to be made via an enhanced ROM (JFred99 agreed with this statement and Dahlor himself stated he was running "version 3" which does not exist--Only Rev A & B are official) and I've already added that run to the CannonBall leaderboard

• GemmaEuphoria's videos are either deleted or privated. If someone can contact her to put them back up, that'd be great, 'cause I'm currently running Goal D for Bronze and I have no idea what her splits were

• I suggest a co-Super Mod to be added (not me, but I suggest @JFred99), especially if being DM'ed about things that need to be done is a chore. To be noted, I also have 5 runs pending for approval, I know mods have 3 weeks to get on it, however OutRun as an internal clock and those are extremely quick to review. I don't see a reason why stay lone super-moderator on arguably the most important OutRun game and not create a team like we did for the other OutRun games.

I hope this post doesn't come across the wrong way as I'm only trying to get this leaderboard updated and maintained the proper way so we can all enjoy running the game we love so much in a good & drama-free environment.

One of my best friends received a temporary 3-months ban last month, but, since it's not showing the duration, someone else made a video mocking him saying he got banned for life.

Could we get the duration to show like it was the case before? That would prevent that type of drama to occur.

Suggestion for the site. I see so many people who choose a random "funny" flag (e.g. jay_cee with Antartica or porkytheunique with North Korea) because they don't feel like they belong in theirs.

So I was wondering if we should maybe include the flag of Planet Earth? I think that'd be awesome!

Just wanted to report that the "MODERATED GAMES" list under the "About" section of a runner's profile doesn't update any longer. If you get added a new game, it doesn't update, even after weeks of waiting.

Also, the "Series Moderated" list is no longer available since the new site came out.

Hopefully you guys will fix that.

Not sure if anyone has noticed but the Old/Japanese layout is MORE than just swapping a few stages around! They modified the stages themselves also! I was really surprised! They feel very similar to the Genesis version.

Just wanted to let you know I've moved Freestyle to its own category. It didn't make any sense to have it as a sub-category for each goal. In the game, it is also an Any% in-game leaderboard. I can revert the changes if need be but I'm pretty sure everyone will prefer it the way it is now.

Hey guys, Just a personal suggestion. I think more people would be interested in running this game if the courses were "full-game categories" instead of "level runs", kinda like the Genesis version. I know plenty of people who don't care about level runs.

Hi all,

To summarize and in order to guide newcomers, the current medal holders [@chessjerk @MasterSystemMarceau @JFred99] + @Nimn_One and @AlphaNerd have all agreed to run the game at 60Hz when it comes to medal runs. It's not a rule from the moderation team, it's just something we decided to do between us.

Remember, if you're driving at 293km/h at 60Hz (the full speed in OutRun SMS), it means you're driving at 83% of the speed at 50Hz and therefore driving at 243km/h, which makes it a lot easier and not competing on the same level as other runners.

Again, this is not a rule from the moderation team. Feel free to upload runs at 50Hz but we would like to kindly unofficially ask you to upload runs at 60Hz if you're going for a medal.

I was wondering if anyone knew how to perform the gear gacha on Genesis. It's pretty easy to do on the Arcade version but I tried yesterday while streaming on Twitch and I can't pull it off on the Genesis version.
