SupporterI believe using a mouse probably gives a precision advantage, especially since the analogue thumbstick can be very tricky to handle on OutRun Arcade.
Not gonna lie, I would also feel horrible using a mouse to play this game, personally, but that's just me. I'm surprised Twin Galaxies allows it, they usually ban that kind of stuff.
Again, it is what it is. I'm personally cool with everyone here and I hope everyone is cool with me too. I suggest to just move the Saturn runs to the Saturn leaderboard ASAP and move on from this discussion.

Like I said, I think Shiromar raises valid concerns, however, the bottom line is, this leaderboard can and will stay as is and that's okay.
I'm not a fan of drama when it goes out of hand like this. Personally, I'm in this community for fun and to make friends first and foremost and this is neither. I like everyone in this community and this is sad to see everyone get so upset.

@AlphaNerd and myself have been saying things along those lines this for about a year now. He's been a more verbal & direct about this than me and got in trouble but should be back later this month.

The leaderboard for the Saturn version has been created: Sega Ages OutRun (Saturn) - Speedrun
All Saturn runs will be moved there shortly.
In the light of this, I think we should create an entirely new leaderboard in the Series just for the Saturn version and move all the Saturn runs there, personally.
The way I see it, there's no more reason for the Saturn version to be part of this one.
It's disappointing for me, but I gotta be fair and honest.

One of my best friends received a temporary 3-months ban last month, but, since it's not showing the duration, someone else made a video mocking him saying he got banned for life.
Could we get the duration to show like it was the case before? That would prevent that type of drama to occur.

I added a "Platform" subcategory variable that should fix those issues. If ever Amiga and MS-DOS are the exact same, we could merge those 2 into 1.
I just think supporting Planet Earth is really nice. I support their cause. On their website there's more info. SRC would be at the forefront of progressive ideas by implementing that in my opinion.

Suggestion for the site. I see so many people who choose a random "funny" flag (e.g. jay_cee with Antartica or porkytheunique with North Korea) because they don't feel like they belong in theirs.
So I was wondering if we should maybe include the flag of Planet Earth? I think that'd be awesome!

Just wanted to report that the "MODERATED GAMES" list under the "About" section of a runner's profile doesn't update any longer. If you get added a new game, it doesn't update, even after weeks of waiting.
Also, the "Series Moderated" list is no longer available since the new site came out.
Hopefully you guys will fix that.

I agree with @RaGeNyC, we can add it here. I think it used it be here but got removed since no one seemed interested in it.
We could add the category if you're going to upload a run for it @dolphinmachine . GL pulling it off though.
There's no need to relay anything to the developers, the site is pretty much broken the way it is now.
After seeing pretty much everyone seems to agree that the old site was much, MUCH better, I'm really hoping SRC will revert back to the way it was.
I'd be surprised if the Staff doesn't want that also.
I appreciate all the work your team has done, it must've taken a ton of time! And that's why it pains me to say this:
Personally I prefer the previous version of the website BY A MILE. Examples why:
- "Games you moderate" is now private and not public and doesn't show a concise list with icons or show which SERIES we are moderator for
- The game's cover, unless it's a very specific size, is now cropped and broken. E.g. none of the Arcade game cover fit.
- Our personal badges are gone, replaced by our profile pictures (avatar)
- Transparency of our badges and avatars is gone.
- Can't see when a moderator has last been online any longer
In general, this new site version is extremely cluttered, missing important features we had before and rough to navigate.
1 positive though, the 1 thing I do personally appreciate and would keep is the new "History" feature.
PLEASE revert everything else back to the way it was before. I think that's what most people want.

Not sure if anyone has noticed but the Old/Japanese layout is MORE than just swapping a few stages around! They modified the stages themselves also! I was really surprised! They feel very similar to the Genesis version.

Just wanted to let you know I've moved Freestyle to its own category. It didn't make any sense to have it as a sub-category for each goal. In the game, it is also an Any% in-game leaderboard. I can revert the changes if need be but I'm pretty sure everyone will prefer it the way it is now.
