I would recommend using a crt or an old tv (90s tv) to play your nes games. Because there is an input delay on the newer tvs. I used one in my warpless pb and you can tell how bad I am due to the input delay. So use a crt, aka a box tv. Not a flatscreen.

What's you're pb? You really shouldn't be going for that clip until you go for 4:55 attempts. So if your pb isn't near there, you don't have to do that clip.

Make sure you're using an accurate rom. I've never ran into a problem like this but the hit detection is sometimes wonky in this game.

The most reccomended emus are: Bizhawk, fceux and nestopia. I've heard of openemu or something like that but I've never used that.

That's because when they load up the game, they'll likely press start either when livesplit says -2.70 or -2.50. Then when the level starts the timer will say 0.00.

You can by either getting a powerpak or an Everdrive.

On the Japanese version of the SNES game if you hit a certain power up block you'll go backwards on the flag.

But 4:53 isn't possible.

4:53 is not possible at the moment. In fact, 4:54 is barely possible. The human "limit" is currently at 4:54.998. But that can wait like 2 years or so. The fastest TAS is 4:54.032. So that makes 4:53 impossible.

The only trick I got was the 1-1 clip. Got pushed out many times and am not consistent enough to do it in runs.
