As of 23 March 2025, the official game site http://nekogames.jp/g2.html?gid=CUSOR10_2 uses Ruffle to run the game. It was discovered by player Mavi_adam that objects that should be unloaded by changing floors can be referenced with the object selection when the Tab key is used (see linked video). What this means is that there is an easy way to bypass all gameplay and beat the game extremely quickly and effortlessly.

After clicking START, a player can Tab to the Level 1 Stairs Up object and then hold Enter or Space (or both simultaneously) to rapidly ascend floors. Then, the player can win by clicking the Floor 16 Final Pyramid, for which they can position the mouse prior to starting the game. Optimally, this can be completed before the stage objects normally become visible, and the total time takes less than 4 seconds to click Tab twice, hold a button or two, and click the mouse without moving it.

This situation will be treated like the "Floor 0" exploit (see https://www.speedrun.com/cursor_10_2nd/forums/kbnr4), and runs that use Ruffle AND the keyboard will be omitted from Any% leaderboards in order to keep the game competitive. Congratulations to Mavi_adam for finding this new exploit!

I've added Stage 26 and a few other levels in this game. Also added others across the Ringo series and cleaned up the Level rules. If you have any other level requests, let's pick up the conversation in this thread as the reasons may apply to many other levels in the series.

I have re-added some Levels and their runs in multiple Ringo-series games, and have cleaned up the Level submission rules.

I see your point about making that level more interesting, though I also have to make sure it can be assessed correctly. Would you agree if I open that level with the rule that your mouse must remain in the game window at all times?

I can probably add a few more levels if you or others are interested and the levels can also be given a reasonable constraint. As long as this game isn't spammed by people looking to do extremely short and pointless runs, I can handle the moderation efforts.

Level 26 can be consistently beaten with a nearly perfect time (ideally with a two-monitor setup). As a result, there's no skill in setting up and getting a winning time, so the level should not be enabled for competition.

If you disagree with this or any other missing levels from the link, I'll be glad to hear your thoughts and reconsider.

@fakeforsure Level 5 randomly assigns the star to one of the four corners, whereas all other early levels have the star in the same spot. It's more of a waste of time to do the fixed star levels just to come to level 5 later and lose time by guessing the wrong corner. When I start with level 5, I can reset very early if it does not show up in the optimal top-right corner, which means I will more quickly get to a run where the first levels go perfectly :)

I'm not sure what you mean here when bringing up #24 in this game, as that's the race to click the star points. Did you mean a different stage?

Unfortunately, that looks entirely luck-dependent and not skill-dependent. The optimal IL time would happen if the star chest spawned two rows under the player and the player could hold straight down to clear the path without encountering any walls. That could happen (I checked the source code) so anyone could do it if they wanted to reset enough times that they got it. The time couldn't be improved beyond that, and that's not really worth a leaderboard.

To prove my point, here's an almost-optimal completion that I got after a bit of resetting, and it took no practice-based skill:

If you find a way to make that stage skill-dependent, I'm willing to create a category. I know that navigating the caves with monsters running around would take some skill, so I don't want to rule out having something fun for this level - I just don't see a plain IL as a good category here.

A few days ago I messaged both Aftermathrar and jokerking76 about this topic. Aftermathrar has responded saying that they have opted out of the change, so we're good to keep their runs up.

No response from jokerking yet (it's been years since they were on), and I don't believe geekthras has an account here.
