Most of the leaderboards are now up and ready to play.
Road to Elite - Will set the rules after around a week to give people a chance to play and discuss what these rules will be.
Mini Games - I have set this up similar to slobberknocker where it is essentially high score. Just set your time to place yourself on the leaderboard correctly. Penta says and pop quiz are excluded for obvious reasons.
Level leaderboards - Each match type has been added along with each difficulty. Difficulty must be shown before the match.
Challenges - Will look to add specific challenges in the future similar to how we have with the old wwf/wwe games.
If anyone has any feedback or suggestions let us know. With this being a totally new board and game there may be a few mistakes but these will be fixed over time.
Just throwing it out there but iv been playing around with the Japanese version just to see what differences there are and the main thing iv noticed is some different enemy placements, pick ups in different places but most importantly glitches like the super jumps and the level skip have been patched.
Iv seen another post here asking for a glitchless category and think this would be a great alternative, maybe wed even find glitches that dont exist in the other version.
The old mod team has been removed. Me and @holipigicowi are now moderating the page and we will add an additional mod soon. First of all sorry to all the people whos forum posts and unverified runs were left to rot by the old team. That wont happen again now and im hoping to get this page active again like we did with here comes the pain.
Iv made a lot of changes to the page which youv probably already noticed and i will list these below:
Slobberknocker has now been fixed to include score.
All match types have now been added to individual levels.
Categories have now been organized with sub categories to make the page easier to navigate.
Challenge mode has been added. These are specific challenges for joke matches, recreating classic matches and for random objectives.
Main matches has been added as its own category, this is for the more popular / unique matches to run that would normally be on individual levels.
Difficulty has been added to each category
Rules have been updated, these will not effect any current runs.
Let us know what you think of the changes and if you have any suggestions. It was a massive job so there may be a few errors or teething problems here and there but these will be fixed over time.
Just added 5 new challenges. Great to see that its starting to get competitive and everyone is smashing these records. Thought id add some new ones to spice it up.
The new challenges are:
Family Fued - Using Stephanie Mcmahon beat HHH, Vince Mcmahon and Shane Mcmahon in an anywhere fall 3v1 handicap match. (Suggested by Lewie895)
Perfect 10 - Get to 10 wins in Ironman, use in game time and stop timer when the ref calls the finish.
Lose% - Lose a match by pin, submission or KO as fast as possible. Can use any wrestler or match type.
DVON GET THE TABLES! - Using Dvon Dudley vs any wrestler put your opponent through both announce tables and 2 regular tables in a TLC match. Use in game time from when your opponent hits the floor on the final table.
Just a Sexy boy - Replicate the 1995 Royal rumble by winning entering as #1 using Shawn Michaels.
Let us know if you have any suggestions and what you think of these new challenges.
Considering removing the difficulty option from the main categories except for challenge mode.
Might be wrong but i dont think difficulty even makes a difference in slobberknocker and higher difficulties on the other categories has been pretty dead. For me the fewer sub categories there are the more competitive it is. Runs wouldnt be removed just moved onto a single leaderboard.
let me know what you think.
I have created a save file with 100% of the game unlocked with a max stat caw. You can find this in resources and add it to your memory card with a software like mymc. Hoping this will help more people play the custom categories which have been pretty dead. Any questions let me know.
Game rules have been updated:
Use in game time wherever possible, if not available go bell to bell unless otherwise stated. Finishers and settings must be kept to default except difficulty, entrances and arena/mat. Medium/Hard runs must show difficulty during the video (Usually at the end of the run). Count out/DQ wins are not allowed.
These changes wont effect previous runs except the matches won by countout/DQ but i havnt removed these yet until wer in agreement.
Questions:
I know there is a few runs that win by count down are we in agreement about the new rule? not really a challenge to just get a countout.
Where do we stand on CAWs? Should we allow them for all runs, certain categories or not at all?
Anything else we should add or change?
Notes: Youl also see now that most of the matches have been moved to levels. I kept the more competitive/challenging categories on full game. There are also 3 new challenges.
Found a way to consistently glitch through one of the doors.
I thought this would be the only viable way to save a decent amount of time but it looks like despite hitting where the trigger would be to end the level it didnt work which must mean it only loads when everyone has been killed.
Thought it was interesting anyway and maybe someone out there can use it somewhere else and have better luck than i did.
This thread is for discussing what we should do with Season mode and how it should be ran. As anyone who has played season mode knows its incredibly long and most of it is simulating through every match on the card except your own.
The season mode technically finishes after 2 years although it can go longer but even 2 years could take around 6-8 hours which isnt desirable to play in one session or watch so here are my suggestions for categories:
. Unlock Stone cold - Quick run and is one of the first wrestlers you can unlock. Must also have at least 1 match every week.
. Wrestlemania % - Win at Wrestlemania (essentially a 1 year run)
. Unknown - Beat an unknown wrestler (These appear randomly and are used for unlocking CAW parts)
. Title% - Win any title starting the season as the 5th ranking
I have suggested categories like these because i think repeatedly simulating match cards your not booked on isnt a challenge or very entertaining. There will also be a mix of strategy and RNG involved with most of them.
Timers will start upon selecting the Match option on the first week (Apr 1) This is so people can alter rankings and use a save state so they wont need to edit rankings etc. on every reset. All runs must be on Normal difficulty aswell this is to minimize the amount of categories and this must be shown before or after the run.
Please let us know any suggestions. I will give it a week or 2 to update season mode to give people the chance to include any feedback first.
Thanks.
Wev added a new category called challenge mode. This is to give people something relatively short to run that has a degree of difficulty and is fun to play. These challenges are either meme categories or throwbacks to classic matches. So far we have added:
Armageddon 2000 - Using Kurt Angle defeat Rikishi, The Undertaker, Steve Austin, Triple H and The Rock in an Armageddon hell in a cell match.
TLC II - Team up with Matt Hardy to defeat The Dudley Boyz and Edge & Christian in a triple threat tornado tag team ladder match. (Match type not available in TLC). You can use any wrestler.
Defeat the Streak - Beat the undertaker in a singles match by pin or submission using Torrie Wilson (DQ must be turned on)
Ortons Revenge - Defeat Batista, Ric Flair and HHH by pin or submission using Randy Orton in a 3v1 handicap match. (DQ must be turned on).
Hello Ladies - Using Val Venis defeat Sable, Trish Stratus, Torrie Wilson, Victoria and Lita in a 6 man battle royal. You must defeat every opponent, if one diva pins/submits another then the run is over.
All Runs must be played on Smackdown! Difficulty and show this at the end of the run.
Let us know what you think of the idea and if there are any challenges you want to see included. Thanks.
Due to recent feedback we have created subcategories for each Full-game leaderboard which is displayed as "Original" and "Custom" the updated rules are as follows.
"Original" - There must be no customization to any wrestler including move-sets, Entrances, Stables, Stats etc. Any changes in options are allowed.
"Custom" - Any customization is allowed (No Mods). This includes editing any wrestler and the use of CAWS. Any changes in options are allowed.
Please let us know if this is a good solution for everyone or if there are any concerns you have with the change. If you feel a run you have submitted is in the wrong category let us know. We also need some feedback for:
NG+ - Should this category exist? It basically consists of skipping every match and the only run that was submitted has been removed due to no video proof.
Level Leaderboard - At this point we dont think we should split these but we need to decide whether customization options are allowed on these boards so let us know your opinion on it.
Thanks to everyone who provided feedback and sorry if anyone got flooded with notifications during the changes, its a complicated process and involves having to resubmit all the runs.
My laptop is pretty old and struggles with the 1964 emulator, has anyone tried 1964 on a raspberry pi? Would it be a good way to run the game? Thanks.
Picked up a Wii to try some of these old nintendo games but not sure what to submit my runs as. Is it only not emulation if its on the original console? thanks.
Iv noticed that SD2 isnt on the site and im thinking of requesting it. Id probably have to do season mode for it to get accepted which is extremely long and tedious and I don't want to do it if im the only person on there. Would of course add match types and challenges similar to on here.
Anyone here interested in running it too?
My laptop isnt good enough to run and record at the same time without causing lag and recently iv been playing a lot of emulated PS1/PS2 games.
I was thinking of picking up the Nvidia TV and plugging in a capture card so my Laptop is just recording without having to handle the emulator but its a lot of money and I don't want to waste it.
Any advice or alternatives would be appreciated. Thanks.
Hello Im the new mod for this game if anyone has any questions or suggestions feel free to contact me.
I have now added single levels to the leaderboards and I will be dumping runs over the next few weeks to give people a target to beat. Full game and chapter runs will still use RTA but single levels will use in game time. This is to make the game more accessible to everyone. For obvious reasons glitches that effect the clock are banned. Runs will not need to be verified to be posted but I will still check them.
Thanks.
