So I'm jumping into speed running and here's my layout.

First of all, I'm on a Mac

PS4 HDMI into 4K Ultra HD USB3.0 HDMI Video Capture. HDCP 2.2 EDID

From there the signal is sent into OBS and streamed and recorded there.

I need a reliable timer to use. Which ones do you suggest?

Also, I wanna make absolutely sure before I tackle this. This is going to take me more than 24 hours to speed run. I'm 41, I can't do all nighters like that anymore. Will pausing the timer but not the recording so I can sleep, use the bathroom. I'll be eating on stream etc.

@secretgorilla I thought I could push pause on the speed run at least while I slept. I'm 41, I can't do all nighters like I use too.

There are no runs of this game on this site or any site for that matter. There aren't any runs on youtube either. Do I need to talk to a Mod and set up rules before making the run?

I'm new to the website so I don't know if this is answered somewhere on the site. I'm also new to speed running. I've done a bit of research and I feel confident with what I want to do can be done. Still, I'd like to be 100% sure of the rules.

I have a game that I want to speed run that's never been done before. Unfortunately, it's one of those RPG's that can't be beat in under a day. It says that minimum game play is around 22 hours. What are the rules for speed runs like this? I will need to use the bathroom, eat, and most importantly SLEEP. I want to do this right.

So what happens if i'm speedruning and i need to use the bathroom BAD! Does that kill the run? Or, if i'm streaming it, can i quite out, go use the bathroom and comeback? It would suck to get close to the end of a "All Achievements" Stream and have to start all over because "nature called"
