I'm setting up everything so I can start learning more, but do Sonic's control settings need to be a specific way? specifically for Any% and ILs

Just curious as to why, I know it's a code, but why isn't the Disable Boost Audio Filter code allowed? Does it affect load times?

I'm gonna be doing runs fairly soon, but everytime I close the game out it wipes all save data. I've done forum searching for answers before writing this, but all I've seen is changing stuff in the bio3.ini, which has done nothing. If there's a way to fix this I'd love to know because I didn't even get to finish learning the route (I made it to the final fight w blobby Nemmy)
