Recent updates have brought a difficulty selection. Any rules regarding this?

In efforts to shed some light on this game I'm going to leave my personal notes here. These are not route notes as this is not the point of them (the current route desperately needs improvement). This is more of research of the game's mechanics that runners both current and future should learn about before attempting to improve the route.

There isn't a category for this so I decided to just post it here.

I know Trogdor and 8bit did this for lulz but I found it pretty fun to tryhard in.

Been having the urge to get into speedruns for this, but not sure how everyone is grouping up for Full Party content.

Because I just did it.

Since there's no PM feature and hunting down mods is a pain, I'll post it here.

I've already been speedrunning this game quite a bit. But the categories here raises some questions.

I assume there's some unspoken rules here. No Seeds and No Pre-Bought items. The latter is obvious, but does No Seeds also apply to the Weeklies? For the longest time the speedrun community has been using Weeklies to make our times better on the leaderboard.

Another question, how will updates take into account of the previous submissions? Will they be pruned?
