I would recommend not to create any new categories unless there is someone really interested in doing such run, otherwise you'll end up with exactly what you don't want - empty categories. I've heard several times that someone wants to do a run in non-standard category and most of them never even started. Specifically glitchless runs require a lot of routing on contrary to glitched, where you usually just copy the WR strats and add some new ones.
All Levels/Segment End Screens and OoB - sounds like misc categories to me.
My suggestions:
-
Any% category with 2 subcategories - BJ and no BJ. Since the BJ trick has such a huge impact on the total time, it shouldn't be a variable. Variable should be something you can choose/change before or during the game, like framerate, aiming mode, car (in a racing game), difficulty etc. (yes, I know that glitches/no glitches doesn't fit that description, but there was no other way to separate both types of runs without having too many categories. Now we have subcategories.)

Disagree about removing the segmented runs. They should be on the leaderboards. Many people don't read forums here. Respect the "elders" and their old runs ;)

Yes, remove glitched as a variable. We did that with classic Tomb Raiders and made it subcategories. Much better solution imho. As for glitchless category, I guess it would be a good idea if people wanna make such runs.

Not sure what's "All Levels/Segment End Screens". As for "No OoB", if you can find people who would run that category, then why not, otherwise it's a pointless category. I don't really understand why would anyone want to do a glitched run without using OoB. Might as well do glitchless run already :) Just my 2 cents.
Just wondering, why are all the times counted for ALL laps? Usually only the fastest lap is counted (hot lap) in racing games.
Let alone consider it cheating. I don't understand why there's so many Tomb Raider players that consider glitches a cheat.
OK, so... I'm not gonna be doing a run soon (but I will one day, I love this game), but I think the rules needs some work. Since TDU doesn't have any real end, "any%" category is kinda misleading since you have to win all races, so it should be more like "All races". Also, do you have to complete all races on gold?
Btw, IL table might be quite interesting, especially the one hour race (can't recall the name) around the whole island.
Different savegames than what?
I see two possible "glitches", although it's quite a grey area to be honest. It's really hard to differentiate what is a glitch and what isn't. I guess Cadarev just copied it of tombrunner.net, so the blame is on me since I marked it as glitchless.
Besides, the run is 6 years old and use obsolete strats ;)
Isn't speedrun.com just "fine" for having leaderboards? Yes, it's not perfect, but once admins add the ability to add multiple various leaderboards, it should be all we need.
My point is, why diversify this community if you have everything you need here? Unless you have something special on your mind ;)
Apparently you can't overtake Darius in this version and it's still just alpha, so more things may change.
I'll try to point out some of the glitches and broken stuff to the devs, but yeah if it's gonna be just different starting cars and enhanced graphics, there won't be a reason to include it to the leaderboards.
Btw, I've noticed there is no defined start in rules. The problem is that some runners start their timer when you choose a difficulty and some with the actual start of a level, which makes a difference of about 2-3 seconds.
Have you tried OBS? That should be able to record anything.
Yes, nobody really plays this game anymore, but in my opinion all records should have a video proof.
Some guys told me about LE they're working on, which changes some gameplay aspects. They also need betatesters. Maybe a new category coming? :)
