This is really fun for now, but quick word of warning that I don't see this having much longevity.

Clearly, each level has a 'solution' that is just the correct series of inputs, and due to the fact that I've already coined onto inputs getting queued, all it takes is for someone to figure out each stage's solution in terms of a series of inputs, then perform those inputs faster than the game tracks movement. Then the stage solution plays itself out.

This is somewhat limited by the stages that use disappearing-block cycles, but I would not be surprised if someone solves and optimises this game very fast.

Tip for anyone struggling with sections that require you to move very quickly: You can move with both the WASD and direction keys, and inputs will stack AND be buffered in a queue.

Quick reminder though that being the WR holder doesn't automatically entitle you to the position. If the current mods feel that they're doing a sufficient job and don't need help, they're well within their rights to reject your proposal, so don't be mad if they say no.

Devs sharing their games is a practice that is greatly encouraged around here, though it will certainly help your case to be more descriptive about your game:

What genre is it? How long is it? Is it technically demanding to play? Are there a lot of random factors, or RNG? How is the pacing? Does it feature a lot of autoscrolling content?

etc, these are all factors that will impact the player's interest in the game. There is also a very detailed guide on how to design a game to cater to speedrunners that you can find at https://kb.speeddemosarchive.com/Making_your_game_speedrunner-friendly

@Sweft You should honestly just use something like the URL the duplicate board uses once it's removed, since having the URL as the full game name is... Not very accessible for those who want to type it out without navigating the site.

This is a common misconception with a lot of people who just don't have much speedrunning experience; the established categories are there for a reason, and just because you can think of a specific goal doesn't mean that it will be a category. Arbitrary categories especially are very often looked down upon, but in this case the proposed category is just a bit pointless because it doesn't offer anything different from what's already there in the route, other than adding a couple of fights.

For something to be considered a new category, it preferably must add something different to how the run fundamentally plays out. For this game, you're kind of stuck for what that may be. Only thing I can really think of that would be interesting, albeit EXTREMELY stupid to actually do would be a No Deck Edit run. It is technically possible to complete the game with the starting deck assuming it's good enough (THTD material + Umi + Equip giving 3800 ATK monster) and then proceed to get Easy Modes in every duel. It would never happen in a run though, which is why I'm sure nobody has bothered to attempt this.

Further to my request above, would there be any possible way to add a "Disable Self-Verification" option in Game Settings? Self-verification is a contentious issue in a lot of communities, and having the option to disable it entirely would be nice for certain boards. It should obviously be disabled by default, otherwise for games with a single mod, that mod would then be unable to verify their own runs.

I think you're on your own, never seen a Philippines flag on this leaderboard before yours. The primary nationalities in this game are US, UK, Canada and Japan, as it is in many other game.

I would like there to be some sort of Moderator Actions log in each run, if possible. Let's be honest, not all moderators get stuff right first time, and amendments are necessary to verified submissions to ensure they're actually accurate. It would be nice to see who did the initial verification, and then who amended it, such as "Run verified by X" followed by "Y changed the date/time of this run"

Coatsink are planning an update that will address the checkpoint abuse issue in the game and make it unusable. That being the case, IL times will be perfectly viable for Single Segment runs, and so I have decided they are to be preferred as they remove any advantage that PC runs have due to loading times.

All submissions from this date onwards will use IGT as the primary timing method, which is the sum of your Individual Level times. To this end, you must pick up the hourglass at the start of every stage. If you fail to do this, your time will still be accepted, but will be listed at the bottom of the leaderboard as it has no IGT stat. Any runs using checkpoint abuse before the update is implemented will be summarily rejected.

For Glitchless TPE, you would be using Fashion strats for Mettaton anyway, so this point is moot. Every new armor you equip during the fight increases ratings by 1500.

Start paying attention to small details then, as this run is full of them and your timewaste will rack up very quickly if you're doing things that are unnecessary or otherwise not using the correct route.

The guide by Rhombu is very comprehensive and highlights exactly what is REQUIRED to complete the route. If it's not in the route notes, don't do it.
