I think in terms of full game runs it's too slow, my method might be better for full game runs which sucks cause my method is trash.
I'm gonna be honest, this might be how we do courtyard skip. I'm not sure how much faster it is than my method, but I can already tell it's way more consistent. With enough practice it'll most likely become faster than my method as well.
So make that 3:33 time I theorised a 3:xx cause that's what I don't even know anymore
Okay I found courtyard skip, and it sucks. I'll make a post about it later.
I'm testing it now, there might be a way to get oob from the courtyard. Whether it's practical or not I'll see.
By the way I'm pretty sure a sub 4 Kraven is possible now, someone should get it at some point.
This is most likely faster and more consistent than my method. Really hoping for a courtyard skip though.
You actually can swing around the trigger believe it or not, but it has no practical use other than another neat thing you can do. As far as I have tested there is no way you can skip the courtyard.
Also, how does this even work? It seems kind of inconsistent in my eyes, although I haven't tried to do this yet.
Another angle just in case the first pic is too trash.
This spot is the key to the trick working. You use the same strat as the new sandman skip.
I can't record anything for it right now, but I found a new oob that skips the fight before you enter the courtyard. It's kind of hard to get first try, but if you get it first try you can most likely save 7-10 seconds. I tried it while messing it up (which is pretty slow tbh) and I still saved 3 seconds over fighting everyone. There is also a VERY slim chance you can skip the whole courtyard fight altogether, but I'm honestly not sure how to do it. I spent 2 hours last night trying to find some way to do it and found nothing. I'd say there's a 20% chance of finding a courtyard skip here compared to the basically 0% chance before.
Another unofficial WR, I'm surprised I'm not recording at this point.
It never crashes on my 360, and it always skips to the tornado on load. Also, I really hate this trick. It's too buggy, sometimes it just never works and other times it works every time.
I'll try this out soon, great find!
I turn off music for my runs, as long as the voice lines and sound fx are still present it should be fine to have music. As long as it doesn't drown out the audio music is okay with me. But then again I might change my mind about the audio all together if it doesn't really matter too much.
I'm stumped on how that happened, but thanks at least for proving there's no way to skip the first boss fight at all.
You don't have to wait to submit, even if you got the time wrong it can still be retimed and edited by you or the mods.
I tried this out on xbox and it doesn't work, but I believe I just found a universal way to get out of bounds using enemies, although I only got it to work once and it may be a bit impractical. But it's an option maybe.
