not a mod, but in other communities, categories tend to be added if you submit a run of your proposed category - to show what you want the category to be like.
Also you'd need to specify what items you get to not exceed 100%
a not terrible computer, OBS, in addition to Kaminari's list
The reasoning behind it not being allowed in normal categories - any%, aum, etc. is that a well known streamer can get more coins by people failing to find their balloon on purpose and make easy to find balloons that are easy coins.
This also means that a new runner will have a harder time because they aren't well known. I understand that assist mode is supposed to be faster - hence assist mode and amiibo's allowed, however, they are STILL random and exploitable, and should not be allowed
its partly because whilst the route you're learning from is porbably Timpani's, there are a variety of different aum routes, which mean people get different moons at different times - meaning even if there were IL's for things like cap 1 and then cap 2, they could have objectively different routes.
However, if you want to run IL's, there is nothing to stop you doing it
suggestion: learn the route, learn IP clip in particular, then do a few runs so you have some comparisons, then go back and learn more optimal movement
... thats a cap IL with a few seconds added on at the end. also not everything needs to be a "%"
given you appear to be certain this is a hardware issue, bring your controllers that are suspect to a friends house with a different switch to test your theory, if your controllers are still not working then try buying a new controller, failing that then your switch will need maintenance
no it shouldn't
Timpani is a well known smo streamer and had people helping him out by giving him coins and setting balloons that were easy to find. a streamer that no one knows will get a higher time because they aren't timpani.
it shouldn't be a category for the same reason that balloon world is banned in aum and 100%
1.1 has coin duping in cascade, 1.0 doesn't. faster for aum and 100%
almost everyone uses livesplit right now, there aren't really any alternatives that are as functional
@Spaticusink partly true, but (depending on category) 1.2 lets you use luigi hint arts which are the fastest coins
could you get a video? seeing a glitch and the setup is infinitely more valuable than vaguely describing what the glitch achieves
yep first video is dead @TicTacBean
it could be faster, so here's a crazy idea: time it. presumably you are speedrunning and will therefore have a timer, shouldn't be that hard to determine if its faster or slower
coinless is a bad category because it would just be reset hell for all the times you accidently grab coins. also have you heard of low%?
this looks like a confused person trying to do a survey
check the sticky threads in this forum... its hard to miss
we don't need a TAS. first off there isn't a usable switch emulator, and even then it would take longer to make a TAS then it would just to time it with human controlling. it takes upwards of 1 minute of effort to make 1s of a TAS
