Changing the current variable to be a sub-category is not an issue at all for ILs, but it will make the leaderboard look awful and empty in most of the current ILs. The variable is there exactly for the purpose of filtering runs by it if anyone wants to
If we ever reach the point when there are enough runs and there's enough demand for a split, sure, but I don't see it happen any time soon
Hi, no, it isn't allowed. The only allowed mods are listed in the rules.

This leaderboard is dedecated towards the original Unleashed Project mod, so any other mod would not be allowed to use

This idea is interesting, but at the very least I would like to see that there's a single mod that will include the entire Unleashed behavior (At the very least, I know that the QTE mod is not released yet), and then we can discuss having a leaderboard if enough runners are interested and there are at least 3 runs
Separated subcategories for category runs is a work in progress at the moment, I'm a little busy these days but hopefully I should have it set up along with proper rules this week.
ILs are a different story, as creating subcategory for them would make the leaderboard look extremly awful, and there is little to no research about emu from experienced IL runners to consider them fair to use against actual consoles, so those will stay on hold for now.
Thanks for the video example
We have decided to allow BetterFxPipeline as an optional replacement to the Unleashed Project's one
I'll edit the rules as soon as I can but feel free to use it already for future runs
Keep in mind that this decision only applies to this leaderboard, not to the vanilla game leaderboard
I see, just post here your video example using these settings with "Better FxPipeline" so we can discuss it properly
Can you provide a video example of using Better FxPipeline? Afaik it's just upgraded version of "Unleashed FxPipeline Shaders", so if it can help with perforamance and doesn't change the way the game looks significantly it would be considered
There is an autosplitter. Since the game's loads on PC are pretty consistent, and since there are little to no console runners, we decided to leave it at RTA.
I would highly recommend you register Discord, as this is the main platform for runners
Watching runs and reading the guides in speedrun.com is helpful, but not nearly as effective as being able to ask runners questions
There's only 1 recorded run for this category, we require at least 3 for a category to become a misc, and there doesn't seem to be much interest atm
Yes you're allowed to set the in game music to 0 in settings and play music from external sources, as long as it's not a modification on the game itself
We prefer to not allow cinematic mods, since we wouldn't like to go ahead and make sure that these mods doesn't mess around with physics at all. And even in case they actually don't, these mods could help with visual cues and things like that
You can read here about how it works https://gamebanana.com/mods/50770
Hi, copying a reply from Cyd on a similar post: "We do not allow that sorry. For every mod that is supposedly just visuals/audio we'd need to test thoroughly to check if that is actually the case. A lot of work for something without any practical use. Please limit mod use to the two listed mods only." About that Speed Highway run, it was accidentally verified and it's no longer on the leaderboard.
For individual levels we already have a variable that indicates if the runner used speed glitches (M/D-speed mostly) or not, so you can filter the leaderboard by them. In most of the stages/challenges the difference isn't massive enough to have a separated leaderboard, on top of the fact that the current leaderboards aren't very active to begin with.
Join the Discord server and ask if you have any problems, this game is fairly friendly to learn and run so in most cases guides aren't necessary, so give it a shot if you feel like
I'm not sure if I understood the question correctly, but you don't need to show the timer on your video if that was what you meant
We are not going to add random arbitrary categories, especially if there's no interest by at least 3 runners.
Current emulators are not stable enough for competition at the moment.
To conclude this discussion, we ended up deciding to allow the usage of the following mod and code, and only those. Using any other mods will result with a rejection as have been done until now. Have fun!
