GENERAL RULES:
- Difficulty cannot be changed once the timing starts.
- Commands are not allowed during run.
- World type must be default.
- Multiple instances of Minecraft running is not allowed for singleplayer runs.
- No snapshots, beta, alpha, or any other version of Minecraft that's not a full release.
- You can use any version of Java. (It is known to affect seed generation in some cases).
- Bonus Chests and cheats are not allowed.
- You may not read or write to the world or options files outside of Minecraft in any way. Some exceptions may apply but avoid doing anything advantageous.
- No time will be accepted without video proof. The video must not have any missing footage from creation of the world to finishing the run.
- In-Game timing can be done with in-game timers found in 'Resources' or with manual timing. It is recommended to use an in-game timer instead of manual timing as it can be inaccurate sometimes.
- You may wait for about 1 second of In-game time after loading the world before starting your timer. During this time you may not move, but you may pause so that the world may load. You also can not look around or change hotbar slots although third person is allowed. It is to the moderator's discretion how strongly to enforce this rule, if you are doing a run which takes advantage of night cycles, it is recommended not to wait at all. For categories timed with In-game time, you can subtract the time listed on the in-game timer when you pause initially.
RESOURCE PACKS/MOD RULES:
- If the resource pack or mod does not grant any advantage to the player and/or doesn't change the game considerably, it may be accepted if the moderator verifying the run finds it acceptable, but because it's a subjective matter, it is greatly encouraged to not use any. OptiFine:
- No Zoom
- No Fast Math
- No Clear Water
- No Dynamic Lighting
- No Lazy Chunk Loading
- No Render Distance higher than the version you're playing on normally allows
If you are completely uninterested in doing a run unless it is specifically listed on speedrun.com rather than anywhere else then I don't think it is a very inherently interesting category.

This is a leaderboard for runs deemed too uninteresting for SRC, such as ones that are expected to not sustain any interest after a few people spend a day or two running them. It is publicly editable, so you can put your own runs up and add categories and such without needing to go through an SRC moderator.
I believe lucky is working on getting the mass transfer to work. If you want your runs to be moved over prior to the mass transfer, feel free to submit them manually through the Submit Run button.
Also, I made a leaderboard for Overpowered and similar categories that aren't interesting enough for speedrun.com on a google sheets and it literally has not been touched since. I think it's kind of ridiculous to complain that nothing's happened when the only reason is that you are not posting runs.
Leaderboard for categories rejected from Category Extensions boards. This is publically editable, so you can add whatever categories you want. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1BJiKWjk0Ee2wq8IXwtL4vtvGft6Pp3TEoeY0R0sQwn0/
We don’t know of a good dupe glitch in 1.14 yet. We think the alt-f4 one is still possible, but a lot harder.
FAQ: Q: Can I submit without having everything necessary to fill out the form? A: No.

Sand Spiral was just confirmed possible (2P)
Responses: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1vm5kbfuaA8QjxZQEJsDoUoxoMMhwUwYjCgRuStbjtkg This will also show whether a category request was accepted, as well as a reason for ones rejected
Please submit all category extensions requests through this form. Ones submitted in other places will not be considered.
That specific category is not going to be added. If the community wishes to create a google sheet or something for category extensions that are too ridiculous or boring to justify having on the category extensions board, then they can. Categories are only likely to be considered if they involve interesting routing and are fairly long (10+ minutes at minimum?) If you have a category like that, I recommend doing a few runs or races of it so that there are at least a few different people who have completed a run of it, then bringing it up in the discord.

This should work? I'm not quite sure what's going on.
Freezeflame 2, Beach Bowl S, Beach Bowl P, Honeyhive 3, Ghostly 1, Freezeflame P, Gold Leaf 2, Gold Leaf 3, Gold Leaf P, Gold Leaf C, Toy Time 3, Sea Slide P, and Matter Splatter are all known to be possible, although Sea Slide P is TAS only and it, Honeyhive 3, and Matter Splatter require 2P.
- We're waiting on Izraill, who has experience working with the SRC API, to do it.
- We're currently thinking about how exactly we want to handle adding new categories. At a minimum we're going to require a completed run before one is considered.
No new categories will be added until the category extensions board is up
