yes, you can submit a DS version run to any% (Arcade) or 50k (Arcade) category because it gameplay is same as Arcade version but if it's fan made port, we should be discussed to it's allow to add or not

Or PSX = PS1 only? I would like some clarification in this area. yes, PSX = PS1. I thought PS1 is called as PSX mainly in english community, so I used that codename.

Also, if I am correct in my understanding above, then 50k would be the following classification, correct? (I think an item is missing) sorry, I missed about 50k Arcade...

For example, I have the following concerns

• Other platforms were found to have the same specifications currently I have know about the X68K version has very different behavior as arcade. but it's fan made porting so won't add into the categories unless someone want to add the record.

• It is unclear which category the newly released platform will be classified into nowadays using emulation for porting the retro games basically so I think add to the arcade category first is fine.

(Possibility of absence of people who can distinguish between the two in the future). yes. to be honest, this one is problem to split the category...

I agree with both opinions. also I would suggest split again PSX version from arcade version leaderboard.

PSX porting looks like very similar as Arcade, but some mechanism behavior is different. an objects and enemies won't spawn near gil, but PSX version can spawn closer location than arcade version. also many minor logic are different:

• Timer dectriment timing
• Mage Positioning logic
• Knight spawn wait frames
• Treasure judge position in Floor 30
• decide a Mattock durability logic maybe more something...

Based on my opinions above, I would suggest two ways to order of the category tabs.

1. Tabbed by category and console hardware:

• Any% (Arcade)
• Any% (PSX) +- Any% +- Any% Another Tower +- Any% Darkness Tower
• Any% (NES) +- Any% +- Any% Another Tower
• Any% (PCE / TG-16) +- Easy +- Normal +- Hard +- Pro Game
• All Treasures (PCE / TG-16) +- Easy +- Normal +- Hard +- Pro Game
• 50k +- 50k (PSX) +- 50k (NES)

2. Tabbed by console hardware:

• Arcade +- Any% +- 50k
• PSX +- Any% +- Any% Another Tower +- Any% Darkness Tower +- 50k
• NES +- Any% +- Any% Another Tower +- 50k
• PCE / TG-16 +- Any% Easy +- Any% Normal +- Any% Hard +- Any% Pro Game +- All Treasures Easy +- All Treasures Normal +- All Treasures Hard +- All Treasures Pro Game

I can do moderator for Arcade version mainly. but I don't want moderation the my records myself because self moderation feel not wholesome community...
