Getting Started

So you want to be a speedrunner? Well the first step is find the game, I recommend using BlueMaxima's Flashpoint that you can download [here](https://bluemaxima.org/flashpoint/Flashpoint%2010.1%20Infinity.exe). Although there are some websites like  Poki where you can play in your web browser, you can find that [here](https://poki.com/en/g/truck-loader-2#:~:text=Truck%20Loader%202%20is%20a,truck%20to%20complete%20the%20level.).

The next step is to record yourself playing the game. There are many ways to record your screen, but I'll list a few I've used in the past. All Windows 10 and 11 computers come with Xbox Game Bar that allows you record by pressing the keys Windows + Alt + R at the same time. If your computer has an Nvidia Graphics Card then you can use Geforce Experience. You can download it from [here](https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/) and it allows you to record using the hotkey ALT + Z. Another option is to use OBS; it provides the most customizability and can be found [here](https://obsproject.com/).

After you finish playing you need to upload the video. The best way to do this is using YouTube. For more help on uploading a video to YouTube, watch [this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VtF2AgFSLAw).

Submitting a Run

Now that you have completed a run it's time to send to the moderators. First press the button on the home page that says "Submit Run".

A form will appear that needs to be filled out. There are a lot of fields you need to complete, so I will help here.

The "category" field is the type of run you completed. Examples include: All Levels, All Stars, Levels 1-5, etc.
The "player" field is your speedrun.com username. You can see yours in the top-right.
The "You Are" field is not necessary for single-player runs. You can leave it blank if you want.
The "Time" field is the length of the video you submitted. This is not used for ranking.
The "In-Game Time" field is the time it took for your run using the in-game timer.
The "Region" field is where you live. You can leave this blank if you want.
The "Platform" field should always say "Web".
The "Date" field should say the current date.
The "Video Link" field is where you put the link to the YouTube video.
The "Description" field is where you can put anything else you want to say.

The Timer

The in-game timer is used to determine the time of your run. If you explode or reset during a multi-level run, then the time on the timer when you explode is added to the time.

In the example you can see on the first attempt the player explodes after 6 seconds on the in-game timer. On the second attempt they explode after 6 seconds again. On the third attempt they explode after 5 seconds on the in-game timer. On the fourth attempt they complete the level after 6 seconds. Altogether they complete the level in 23 seconds.

Attempt 1: 6 Seconds
Attempt 2: 6 Seconds
Attempt 3: 5 Seconds
Attempt 4: 6 Seconds
Level Time: 23 Seconds
