When you play there are many ways to cut, clicking, arrows, and A and D. Clicking by far is the slowest, and using A and D and left and right is the same speed to me, but I use left and right.
Mod Edit: You can also use J and L and I believe the number pad if you have one. You can also use multiple at the same time to get faster times (Like combining A/D with J\L)
