Connect patterns

There are only 8 possible Connect patterns, and 6 unique sets of lines radiating from the picture under the core. 2 of these patterns have 2 pictures; 4 have 3 pictures; 2 have 4 pictures. Find the drill and dig to the core, exposing the first picture and all lines. Based on the lines you see, you can quickly identify the pattern. The list below tells you how far to move **from the original picture** to find the other pictures. The lines to look for are presented in a fixed position and order, DDR style, to make it easier to read at a glance as a cheat sheet.

Unique patterns

There are 16 patterns for Unique. The drill is always in the same position relative to the shape. They are all slightly differently colored, so in theory you could tell which one is which just by looking at the color underneath the drill, but the colors are very similar.
