How do I know which pipe I’m supposed to go down? Is it RNG?
My last run I picked the wrong one a dozen times in a row, and I ended up just quitting.
I tried doing what the current first place run does, which is enter the left pipe at the exact moment that the whole pipe screen is visible. This has worked twice so far, so maybe the pipe that works is based on timing? (You can enter the left pipe before the right pipe is visible but it doesn’t work.)
Edit: Somebody on YouTube suggested that the pipe selection is actually based on Mario’s X-position. This makes sense, and explains why it didn’t work when I tried entering the left pipe before all the pipes were visible.
Added a 2 cycles category, might add more of them but I guess it makes sense to have another category since the game now has over 5 players and there isn't a full game category because of the length, so 2 cycles should work as a longer category for now.
