(Outdated) Spy Fox Tutorial by J2xp

Outdated tutorial from 2013. Does a good job explaining most of the game, but covers the key path instead of the faster diode path. This tutorial pre-dates pre-made saves.

Enabling Slow Machine Inventory

Have you ever noticed how in my runs that, Spy Fox's inventory has no animation and is much quicker? How do you do that? Well stick around and I'll tell you.
    
 Just follow these steps to enable  Slow Machine Inventory:   
    
 	1. Go into your installation directory (most likely C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Spy Fox 1)   
 	   
 	2. Go into ScummVM_Windows   
    
 	3. Open the file scummvm-spyfox1.ini with WordPad.
    
 	4. if it does not exist, add the line "SlowMachineInventory=1" below [spyfox] so it looks something like this:

	5. Start the Game   
    
 	6. Make a new save (any pre-existing saves are not updated with any edits to the .ini

	7. Reset

	8. Press S to save your game.

Now you have a save file with the optimal speedrun route, and Slow Machine Inventory enabled.

How to Seed your Game (Steam Version)

So, you'd like to try out Spy Fox 1, eh? Nice to see. When you've come here, you propably want to seed your game for yourself or just screw with the developer-screens. While it is strictly forbidden to use these to run the game, it is okay to set your own Save file using them, as it is the same as if you'd download one of the pre-made files.

Just follow these steps to get into the Developer Screens:

	1. Go into your installation directory (most likely C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Spy Fox 1)
	
	2. Go into ScummVM_Windows

	3. Open the file scummvm-spyfox1.ini with an editor of your liking (i recommend NP++)

	4. if it does not exist, add the line "WhosABigCheater=I" below [spyfox] so it looks something like this: http://puu.sh/jlohx/bed9ad4802.png

	5. Start the Game

	6. Press C to open the path settings

	7. ...

	8. Profit.

This WILL work on the official Steam release of the game. It uses a version of ScummVM.
