## Sprayless

- Timing starts when pressing A to select 'Yes' to create a new file. 
- Time ends when you land the final ground pound on the Bowser fight.

**Goal** - Beat the game (Defeat Bowser in Corona Mountain) without using the spray nozzle.

**Restrictions** - You are not allowed to shoot water with the spray nozzle, or spray juice with Yoshi. Arbitrary Code Execution (ACE) is banned.

**Other Rules** - You are allowed to use the spray nozzle to shoot poinks and rockets, as these applications of the spray nozzle are required to complete bianco 5 and pinna 1. You are also allowed to backflip while holding fruit (such as in gbs/serena 3) as it is impossible to spray while holding fruit. You are also allowed to have the spray nozzle out to sidestep, as long as you don’t spray any water.

## Glitchless 120

- Timing starts when pressing A to select 'Yes' to create a new file.
- Time ends when you land the final ground pound on the Bowser fight.  

**Goal** - Collect every Shine Sprite in the game for a grand total of 120 Shine Sprites without the use of glitches listed below.

**Restrictions** - Out of Bounds (including casino skip), clips with held items (i.e. fruit or springs), rocket storage, honey skip, Pinna 1 cutscene skips, Pinna 2 mole skip (requires clipping into the mole), Yoshi skip, travel skip, GWKs, chucksters throwing backwards.

**Other Rules** - Eel cutscene skip is allowed because it is not a glitch, and can be done accidentally (even casually). Damage boosting in Pianta 3 is allowed because invincibility frames are an intended mechanic. Skipping Bianco 1 is allowed because this is also intended. Pausing to spawn the Pianta 1 shine faster is allowed. Y-turning is allowed. Grabbing extra rockets on Mecha Bowser is allowed. Spam sprays are allowed because it is in the official strategy guide.

## Max% Pre-Peach

- Timing ends when Mario holds up the final Shine or when the final blue coin’s save prompt appears.  

**Goal** - Collect all 24 Shines and 40 blue coins available without defeating the brown Polluted Piranha Plant. (The final Shine count will be 25 because of the airstrip.)
The possible Shines are all 11 Shines from Pianta, beach Shine, Chuckster, Gelato pipe, red coin field, jail secret, left bell, lighthouse, lilypad, pachinko, right bell, Shine Gate, underbell and Delfino 100 coins.

**Goal** - Collect all 20 Shines and 36 blue coins available without harming any creatures, not including the blue coin behind the turbo gate. (The final Shine count will be 21 because of the airstrip.) The possible Shines are Pianta 1-6, Pianta 100 coins, Pianta 5 reds, beach Shine, Chuckster, Gelato pipe, jail secret, left bell, lighthouse, lilypad, pachinko, right bell, Shine Gate, underbell and Delfino 100 coins. The blue coin behind a turbo gate near the lighthouse is ignored for legacy reasons.
