I plan on attempting my first completed speedrun within the next year or so, but I'm a little confused. I read the list of allowed emulators and I have a question: Is the NES Mini allowed if I don't use savestates on the Title Screen?
To make sure you are talking about the NES classic edition right? also its not an emulator ;D
Nes Mini is allowed but keep in mind that it runs at 59.94 fps rather than the 60.098 fps that the Nes runs at, meaning that your times on Nes Mini will be slower than if you were playing on the Nes. Running on the Nes mini Is fine until you are going for sub 5, that's where the slower fps will become a problem. Also Nes Mini might have input lag. Anyway, GL on your first run!
