What do you guys think of doing a non-full game category where you have to unlock all of the cap switches? Similar to SMW's All Switches category.
I don't speedrun this properly (i've done my fair share of amatuer runs though; so I dont have a much of a real input), but wouldn't this category just be getting to 10 stars quickly? You only need 8 to Bowser 1, which you can then go to HMC for Green Cap, and then also bring water down outside for Blue Cap. And then 2 more stars (Which you can get from the Green/Blue caps), to unlock the entrance to the Red Cap.
Again im not the most knowledgeable in this game but the run (if done quickly) would just be lblj into dark world, then collect a few quick basement stars, then get the three switches. If you dont want to finish the game its just a short category that doesnt achieve anything. If you do want to finish the game then it would just be a 0/1 star route doing unnecessary tasks or a 16 star run with slower stars due to the caps. There just isn't much point, in my opinion at least. Feel free to run it if you want to though.
