Whichever character you want to use for the run, you'll want to max their stats beforehand. The standard "max stat" character in the game involves 2 main things: reaching level 16, and getting 100 in all skills. Leveling up comes from experience points, and skill points are gained from consuming items from shops.

1 - Start level 1 2 - Progress to the Mini-Marts shop in the Shopping District 3 - Buy Chewing Gum to go 4 - Use the "Noble Sacrifice" cheat code 5 - Pick up the $50 CAD 6 - Repeat steps 3 - 5 until you have $600 - $700 7 - Go back to the No Account Video shop 8 - Buy the "Scott's Late Fees" 9 - Buy "Alone and Disturbed" until you've reached max level 10 - Buy 10 of "Seven Shaolin Masters"

And your character is "maxed out". The only thing at this point that can be done to make a character more prepared for a run (which you should do anyways):

• Buy the "Special Attack 2" from Mobile's Secret House in level 6
• Unlock Mr. Chau as a summon by defeating him as a wandering encounter

REMEMBER: If the character you want to play is Nega Scott, you first have to unlock him by beating the game as the 4 base characters.

Before starting the run, make sure your character is at maximum health, gut points, and extra lives. My method of doing this is buying "The Mystical Head" at the No Account Video until you have 9 extra lives, and then buying the "Energy Drink" from the Mini-Marts until you've got max health and gut (Buy an extra one to go for good luck!).

Use the "Power of Love" code at the title screen. If you want to, use the "Allow two players to select the same character" cheat to use two of the same character for multiplayer. These are the only two codes that affect an Any% NG+ run.
