【專案背景與需求】 2017年底,台北市市長柯文哲執政第三年,市政團隊手上有厚厚一疊施政成績單, 整年度累積的所作所為,對於最受到施政成果影響的20-40歲台北居民來說,仍是相當龐雜的資料。

市政團隊希望三週年的施政成績單,能吸引台北市青年居民主動接觸、進而提高對於台北城的認同。 Project Background & Requirement By the end of 2017, Ko Wen-je, the mayor of Taipei was in power for the third year. The performance report from the municipal team contains enormous data, which is very unfriendly to the young residents of Taipei aged 20-40 who are most affected by the policy.

The municipal team hopes that the performance report is able to attract young residents of Taipei to take the initiative contact and therefore improve their recognition of the city they live in.

【創意執行】 簡訊設計(SimpleInfo)決定為2017年施政報告「進行全面翻譯」,幫助政策語言確實走入台北市青年居民心中。 Creative Execution SimpleInfo decide to“translate”the 2017 performance report into simple format in order to help the young residents of Taipei understand the policy better.

step1.【身份的轉譯】: 以角色扮演為出發點,幫助台北市青年居民換位思考。 從台北市長的角度出發,不只關心切身議題或自己所居住的行政區,以此奠定了《奔跑吧台北》(Running Taipei)的角色扮演型遊戲雛形。

step1. 【Position Interpretation】: Role-playing game helps the young residents of Taipei to take a different perspective. By playing as the mayor of Taipei, players are requested to care about other districts and issues. This sets up the prototype of the role-playing game “Running Taipei”.

step2.【政績資料的翻譯】: 艱澀的政績被全面翻譯成遊戲關卡,讓台北市青年居民不知不覺記住政績內容。 以2D捲軸遊戲呈現柯文哲走讀市政、跑過整個台北市的堅持,並把其他政績翻轉為可還原體驗的遊戲破關挑戰,讓受眾親身感受老人共餐、公宅市場、軸線翻轉、世大運所做的努力和結果。

step2.【Performance Translation】: The performances have been made into different game scenarios, allowing the young residents of Taipei remember its content while playing. We designed a side-scrolling game to deliver mayor’s insistence by visiting all districts in Taipei. The players will experience the efforts and results in different scenarios made from projects such as meal sharing for elderly people, market refurbishment and renewal, west district gateway project and Universiade.

step3.【以熟悉的語言表達】: 台北青年居民共享著8bit遊戲機的童年時代,解析度不高的回憶總是在成年後輕易勾起共鳴。 於是以8bit風格呈現了台北居民有感的非語言符號,如小吃、街景、大眾運輸、城市吉祥物、時事代表物、市長名言等等,遊戲的每一個細節都是受眾所熟悉且期待的。

step3.【Speak their language】: Young residents of Taipei shares the childhood of 8-bit games. The pixel memory resonates easily in the adulthood. We design the game in 8-bit style and symbolize common memories such as snacks, street view, public transport, mascot, hot topics and mayor’s quote. Every detail in the game is familiar and loved by the players.

step4.【增進參與的遊戲化機制設計】: 以解鎖系統為受眾增加重複挑戰遊戲的動機,鼓勵受眾重複挑戰解鎖熊讚角色或隱藏圖鑑。 建立成就系統和社群分享功能,滿足受眾在社群媒體上展示炫耀的需求,也幫助遊戲有效擴散。

step4.【Game Mechanics for Raising User Engagement】: The unlockable content provides motivation for players to re-challenge the game by unlocking Bravo the mascot or hidden items. The achievement system and sharing function fulfill players’ desire to flaunt in the social media which also help the game to spread effectively.
