I didn't mention this in the video because it would take too long (I'd rather just make another one), but in the no macros route it's faster to get Artifact D first. After that, leave the facility using the ladder to Docks. Everything from there to Artifact A in the video is the same. After Artifact A, head straight to Monkeyland through the lake cave entrance and play the rest of the game as normal.
