I wanna call bologna on liberty's new wr (5-level specifically)

relievedliberty's new 5 level wr run doesn't fit under the new category rules set not too long ago ("Timer starts when the player gains speed" rules instead of "Timer starts the frame you start running past the yellow line of level 1"). retiming it to new rules makes their run around 1:59:967, which was how lunaspeed's 1:59:883's legit run was timed.

??? luna's run was timed the exact same way as relieved's. all runs are timed like relieved's. what are you talking about

assuming you calculate on 30fps, Relieved leaves the boost panel on frame 267 and gains speed on frame 271, resulting in a 0.133 second difference already. he touches the last portal on either frame (a) 3864 or (b) 3865. when you subtract the 271 frames that he doesn't have speed in the beginning, you come out with (a) 3593 or (b) 3894 frames of gameplay, or (a) 119.767 seconds or (b) 119.800 seconds. example b coincidentally matches Relieved's new time perfectly, yet the 0.133 second difference hasn't been added, which is why I said previously "retiming it to new rules makes their run around 1:59:967", meaning I was 1 or 2 frames off but my statement remains true. Luna's run however leaves the boost panel on frame 207 and gains speed on 209, a 0.067 difference. they touch the last portal on frame 3803, and the gameplay frames result in (if they were "timed the exact same way") 3594 frames, or 119.800 seconds. this would mean that they would have tied records, yet Luna's run had the extra 2 frames added to their time and Relieved didn't have their extra 4 frames added.

well apparently words get brushed off, so too all visual learners here you go:

I can't tell if it was tied

I think Luna's run was 809ms

post-editing I realized that the start was the tiniest bit too early for luna's run. I said before that they would be technically tied, but I think a 2.5 frame difference is too much.

I guess I bit a little more than I could chew with the last statement of the video regarding that

Guys why are we arguing over this

Also sage211 (the guy that verified and retimed both of the runs) has verified over 7000 runs so he has a lot of experience in modding and he wouldn’t get the wr wrong

lol why tho

fine. I'll leave it alone. "I'm just pointing out what I've noticed". My only request for now is to have someone clarify why the category rules contradict mod statements because it makes trying to compete really confusing for me.

just start when you gain speed and let the mods do their thing man

I noticed this thread an hour ago, and I retimed luso's run. It's a 1:57.833 (timed using somewes.com and Avidemux several times) @Greensical @LunaSpeed
