CMS Menu!

There exists a Content Management System (CMS). This allows you to mess with RNG variables and select specific screens. 

To get to the menu, after turning the system on wait until the screen with a lot of text, then when the screen is about to fade enter "down, up, left, left, a, right, down". Be sure to only enter this once, and close to when the screen is going to fade. If done right the next screen will be an alternative options menu. You can watch all the scenes and credits here. Exit this screen, choose difficulty in regular options, and when you are in control of Porky hit "Select". You will now be at the CMS screen.

How levels work

Where the level is located in RAM:

7E7620 is the start of the level data. I'm not sure on exactly how much space is allotted. 
7ED930 is the beginning of a block of date equal to 55(hex).

How it is loaded:

Quite simply, it is stored one line at a time, starting from the block "0,0". This block is the top left block in every level. So, first the entire line of blocks that makes up the top most of the level is loaded. Then the line below that. All the way to the bottom most line and finally the bottom right block.

How it is checked if porky falls or passes through a block:

If Porky is at x-position 32 and y-position 64 then the game checks the block at memory offset (((yPosition / 16)+ 1)¤level_width)+((xPosition/16)+1). So, in this case, if the level was 16 blocks wide, it would check offset (((64/16)+1)¤16) + ((32/16)+1). Or, 80. 

If Porky is on a block with hex value 00, then he falls. If it is 3A, then he does not fall. Other hex values will spawn swings, hearts, cupcakes, etc...

How Porky falls through some ramps when he jumps:

Where 36 is the ramp you can slide on and 00 is open air. When you descend from your jump your position in the future is checked against surrounding blocks. Since your going down and to the right, you end up on on of the bottom right open air squares, some times. The game takes no action and allows you to fall further, into more open air squares, and you have fallen past the ramp.

The reason for all those 55s at 7ED930:

When you got above the level, Porky's yPosition is 65532 or there abouts. This position equates to a memory offset well past the normal level data. It's set up so that this offset always points to these 55s. 

55s are a special block that take on the attributes of the block below it. If you have a string of 55s and they're all directly above solid ground, they all become solid ground. Whatever the top layer of blocks is in a level is repeated for many blocks above.

What's below the level:

There seems to be random stuff loaded after the level. I am unsure how this works. Some looks like the remains of extra levels. Other stuff is just random looking. Either way, if it's possible to get below a level you can access memory that is treated as load blocks and other stuff in this data.

On Warps

General:

On each screen you advance to another screen by interacting with a "warp". These sometimes bring you to another screen, some time another location on the same screen. It is not known how many warps are on each screen. However, the memory locations for each warp have been found (For the memory locations of where a warp will send you check the memory guide.).

There seem to be 14 bytes of memory that each hold a value of where a warp will send you. Each screen seems to modify the the bytes as an array. The first byte being the 0th member. This would make the array of size 23. The value in a byte is 1 less than the value of the screen given in the CMS editor. e.g. The 17th screen is warped to by the value 16. Also, if you're using the memory editor in Snes9x, set it to Hex to more easily tell which screen you will be sent to. As the CMS screen uses Hex values.

Old West:

The 17th screen(the screen just before Yosemite Sam) sets all the bytes to 17th screen. When you interact with each door it sends you to another position on the same screen. The data for where is sends you on the screen has yet to be found. It's quite possibly another array.

Atlantis:

On the screen "26" in the CMS editor, if you ride the bubble normally used to clip through some walls and skip the majority of the screen, you can ride this bubble up through the top of the level. After releasing the "x" button above the screen Porky zips up (somewhere around yPosition 63200). At this height there is code representing the level you were not meant to reach. In three places there are warp blocks. Due to screen 17 messing with all the values, you can not use these warp blocks in a normal play through. 

Abusing the demos:

If you wait for a demo to play at the start of the game it will set the values in memory for the screen it plays. e.g. you can wait for the demo to play The Alps and the memory locations for that screen in The Alps will be played. If a warp that uses those memory locations could be found early in the game then you could warp to The Alps.

Useful things, perhaps.

Screen Wraps:

If you ever manage to get to the left/right sides of the screen and there's not a load zone there you will be wrapped to the opposite side of the screen. 

Wrong Warps:
Thanks to the junk code that is above and below every level, assuming you get past the 3A blocks or the 55 blocks (see the "How levels work" guide), you can sometimes hit loads and other unintended blocks. 

Also, in The Mines, on the screen where you climb ladders to get to Tweety, the warp that is to the left warps to a room in the mines that is not immediately previous to the current room. 

Atlantis Screen Wrap(Raft Screen):
The bottom left side of the raft screen in Atlantis is missing a 3A block. Assuming there is a way past the 12 block you could 
wrap the screen. 

Daffy Screen Wrap:
There is a pool you can drop into outside Daffy's Castle. It brings you to a sewer place. There are no 3A blocks on to make a left wall, so you can wrap the screen and touch hit the load zone on the far end of the screen. It saves 4.5 seconds or more on the first screen. 

Atlantis Spike Clip:
I have managed in real time to clip through a block with spikes on it in Atlantis. This saves exactly 0 time and I still haven't figured out what's going on.

Bubble Glitch (or more clever name?) - 

Stand on a bubble and hold "X". It will push you through any ceiling you encounter. If there are spikes, you will be 
hit by them. 

Also, if you hold down while down the glitch then let go of X and immediately let go of down you will zip sideways. 
The direction is determined by which was Porky's butt faces when he crouches. 

A skip in The Alps - 

On hard, the Ostrich in-between the two sections of three doors that make up the maze section will shoot fire balls. 
You can jump off the third on by waiting until the black portion under the ostrich's neck reaches the star next to the 
ostrich, then by jumping to in front of the ostrich will let you hit the fire ball. Bouncing off this and hitting the ostrich 
high in his cycle lets you bounce to the second set of three doors and you can continue the stage without entering 
the maze. 

Daffy's Castle Wall Clip - 

Go to the little side room after the first pool screen. You can jump into/onto the top left wall. Nothing happens, it 
is just a missing 3A block. 

Boss Fights:

Every boss fight seems to be on a loop. It also seems you can not manipulate them.
