Cloud Garden:

Lap 1: P, A, C(If you get a bad cycle you can get it on any other lap), M or Cherry shortcut activator(Not sure if it's faster to get both in 1 lap or not)

Laps 2-5: If you missed either the M or cherry shortcut activator you can get those on any other lap. You'll need two other laps to get the 2nd A and the N.

Molten Mountain:

Lap 1: P, M(Save the A for lap 2), C, 2nd A, Watermelon Shortcut Activator

Lap 2: Using the watermelon shortcut collect both the N and the 1st A(You might be able to get the N and M at the same time, but it'd be harder), if you missed the C on lap one you need to get it now or else you won't be able to use the skip.

Laps 3-4: Use the skip

Rolling Hills:

Lap 1: P, A, C, 2nd A or M

Lap 2: N, 2nd A or M

Ghost Mansion: 

Lap 1: P, A, C, M, 2nd A (This one's kinda tricky to get, I'd recommend not trying to get a boost off of the ramp)

Lap 2: N

Canyon Crusade:

Lap 1: P, A, C, M, 2nd A

Lap 2: N

Arctic Iceberg:

Lap 1: P, A, C, M, 2nd A(I'd recommend not getting a boost from the ramp before, if you miss either than just get them on any other lap)

Pirate Cove Skip

To start you want to get a good drift hover. You don't want to get too much height or too little height.

This is the spot I typically aim for and I jump either as soon as the splash animation plays or right after.

While hovering you don't want to hit the boat on the right and you don't want to go to far to the left.

This may not be entirely accurate, but it should give you a rough idea of what path to take.

When you get to the end you want to hit the the rocks on the right and immediately after you hit them, hold left until you void out.

If you go too high you'll clip back in bounds. If you go too low the skip won't work.

If you pass the lap and it doesn't trigger the next lap then you probably went too low when voiding out. When this happens, the game thinks that you are on the previous lap so you would have to do the skip two more time to get to the next lap.

Hitting any of the points that I said not to hit you'll probably see this purple triangle which means that you failed the skip.

It'll probably take a bit of practice, but I honestly believe this trick is easier and more consistent now then Winding Wetlands skip.

PSP Differences

So the PSP is actually a bit different from the other version, and by that I mean differences other than load times so I'm going to list the differences here.

1. There are two exclusive characters in this version: Mappy and Mr. Driller (Neither of which are faster than Toc Man), due to this Pooka and Fygar are already unlocked.

2. there are two exclusive game modes, one where you have to collect pac-dots and one where you have to collect letters to spell Pac-Man.

3. There's an exclusive race, Subterranean Speedway which takes around 5 minutes and isn't a very good race in my opinion.

4. There are only 6 people in a race instead of 8.

Now that we're done with the noticeable differences let's move on to the small changes.

5. There are 4 cherries in Rolling Hills instead of 2.

6. The shortcut in Ghost Mansion is shorter by approximately 4 seconds.

7. The crabs in Pirate Cove don't exist.

8. There are only 2 worms in Galactic Outpost

That's really it for differences, if the extra race didn't exist I'm pretty confident that this would be the fastest version of the game. If I find anymore differences I'll add them.

Skip Definition & List of Known Skips

As of August 9, 2022, this is our skip definition for Rally. Any action done within these parameters will be considered a skip.
[Edit Nov. 15, 2022, skip discovered in FoT]

## *To be counted as a skip*

1. Skip a checkpoint.
2. Diverge from the track spline which is unintended by the game (defined shortcuts do not count).
3. Bypass the fruit doors without the correct fruit (meaning the door does not disappear when you approach it.
4. Clipping through walls.

## *To be NOT counted as a skip*

1. Go through a fruit door with the correct fruit (meaning the door disappears as you approach it)
2. Staying within the track boundaries as you progress through the race

## List of known skips as of Aug. 9, 2022

Any track not listed here currently does not have a skip known/discovered.

**Molten Mountain**
	- Driving off the right lip of the 2nd ramp, then holding left while gaining enough height to bypass the OoB trigger, which then respawns you on the bridge, skipping roughly half the lap.
**Canyon Crusade**
	- Using a boost item or a well timed drift boost to accelerate upwards to bypass the fruit shortcut door.
**Jungle Safari**
	- Same as CC, but is slower than taking the main path.
**Pirate Cove**
	- Drift hover lap skip. See guide by Rallis explaining the skip in detail.
**Winding Wetlands**
	- Using a well timed drift boost and jump to jump over the left wall at the beginning of the lap, circling back without crossing in-bounds to another part of the track, then landing under the bridge before the finish line to skip the lap. 
		- It is also possible to get caught on invisible collision, have the lap increment, then land on the bridge to have another lap count. This is considered a "double lap skip".
	- Jumping off the right side of the booster ramp near the end of the lap, then fly over the barrier on the left to skip a turn.
	- Using a well timed drift boost and jump to gain enough height to skip over a barrier to reach a part of the track earlier than what normal driving would do. (This can apply to numerous locations)
**Toc-Man's Factory**
	- Using a boost item or well timed drift boost to hop over the lava pit in the robot room where the watermelon switch is.
**Funhouse of Terror**
	- Using a boost item or well timed drift or precise jump in a particular spot on the left split path after the warp to skip checkpoints and respawn farther along the track.
**Spooky's Castle**
	- Using a boost item or well timed drift boost to bounce over the wall near the portals at the end of the lap to skip directly into the last portal.
	- Using a boost item or a well timed drift boost to accelerate upwards to bypass the fruit shortcut door.
**Galactic Outpost**
	- Turning around at the start of the race, going back 2 checkpoints, then drive forward while avoiding the trigger for the next checkpoint, then voiding out after passing the finish line to skip a lap.
	- Jumping off the side of a booster ramp near the cross platform in the middle of the map to skip entire sections of the track.
	- Jumping off the side of a booster ramp to gain enough height to jump over gaps that would otherwise be impossible (there are many examples).

TIPS AND TRICKS

1. Go for the fruit switches unless it doesnt really save time ¤koff¤ Freaky Funhouse grape switch ¤koff¤
2. hop at the end of each possible ledge to get a minor speed boost.
3. Save your pacmobile for dodging blues in the air and use your angels do dispell any mid-air projectiles as to not lose time respawning.
4. Practice the game using either Pooka Fygar Toc-Man or Spooky, as they have enough handling to handle the turns just right with enough speed to get a good time (Pac Jr is also a good character for starting out due to his excellent handling and accelleration without the mediocre speed of other light weights)
5. I would recommend training Melon cup so it wont be a run killer
6. LAP SKIP ON CLASSIC RACE 1: Drive backwards until you hit the pac-dot activator in the middle, then turn around and drive through the inside of the circle of the last space worm and don't touch either side path, then drive off the course just after the finish line. you should spawn in the middle if it worked... Repeat twice or until race is finished.
7. If you miss a switch in the first cup, i would recommend resetting after about a dozen full runs, not that much time lost and it helps you with getting the early splits down.
8. Getting all switches on Pac Maze lap 1 would be ideal but Lap 2 is also acceptable (for melon only, grape and cherry are best used 2 laps in a row)
9. Using a guardian to get the melon switch on Toc Man's factory isnt a bad idea.
10. Turn off Autosave and the Pac-Mobile Cam (saves a butt-load of time)
11. Red Boost is the most effective.
12. Use your guardians to protect yourself between pac-dot chains
