Hey guys, I’m new here. Just did my first speedrun (if you can call it that lol). Just a touch over 5 hours, I’ve been studying a lot of you guys and your tactics. I’ve been playing on gameboy but I will be switching over to emulator after my second gameboy practice run.
Noob question, how do you guys do your video capture? Like what program do you use? Like I said I’m pretty new to all this but have been inspired by all your talent! :)

Hi Digidork! Good to see newcomers here! Most people in the community use OBS (open broadcasting software) for speed running, as it allows you to record video and also stream to twitch. Here’s a link: https://obsproject.com If you are playing on emulator as well, you would want to download Gambatte-speedrun, an emulator with tweaks made for Pokemon speedrunning, and it can be downloaded in the resource page of this page.
