Hi all new to the run, under which circumstances do we accept the M9-2 drop from Sheeva? In a few of my runs it's been unused and sitting in inventory.

Also, if you get the micro-uzi, I was told to only do 2 of the 3 tuneups in Hospital, which do we NOT do? I found out I didn't have a tool for the frost upgrade later.

So if you get the 3rd tool from the chest in Central Park after the double monkey fight you can take the stats from the G19 early in Soho. Then you can use the tool you get in the 2 rat 1 crow fight before Shiva to take the stats from shiva's gun. Shouldn't mess your tools up at all but you need that extra tool in Central Park.

To my understanding the M9-2 is taken because it’s faster to just take it by mashing instead of managing the inventory. It’s not used for anything I recall.

As for the micro-uzi, unless the route was changed (and maybe it was), I always did all 3 upgrades regardless of which weapon. The difference comes in day 5, when you go to warehouse. If short a tool it generally means you missed one somewhere. Don’t think I ever found myself missing one.

Ahhh, you're right WoadyB, I forgot the tool in the warehouse, that explains it. And thanks RJ, I'll probably not take Sheeva gun unless I get the all the Central Park tools

What's also the ideal refight rng? Do you want only refights in the museum and only enough to get you level 33 or is having very few fights but going into Eve4 Level 32 still overall faster (but riskier)?

I have personally never left the museum without being level 33 on a serious run. Fighting phase 2 of Eve 4 and UB 2 without liberate is very scary.

As to the exact best EXP route I'm not exactly sure. I think others have done a much deeper dive but I never bothered since it's not something you can really control. From my experience getting any refights before day 5 don't seem to significantly impact the rest of the run so I'd rather not see them lol

You are better off skipping all refights before day 5 as you can get the exp you need to be level 33 in the museum with refights and enemy RNG. What enemies you get in the museum in scripted fights affects amount of exp you receive.

Fun fact, you can successfully run away from refights as the chance for the fight to trigger goes down to like 50% or something and decreases each time it triggers. This isn't with scripted fights as you can not run from those. It's usually faster to just finish the refight since you can just re enter the fight anyway if unlucky. Use at your discretion lol
