Bomb Levitation Glitch/Trick Execution

This trick involves the manipulation of the explosion radius/mechanics of mines in the game. When applied correctly with the right velocity, Abe can be thrown/blasted away from an explosion and float/levitate over a ledge. This trick is only used in Rupture Farms in the spot showcased in the video. This trick saves an upwards of 20 seconds from going the normal route of going up top and destroying the mines.

Some practice is necessary to understand the specific timing. Here's a step by step process of the trick:
- Roll into the duct (not too far)
- Drop the bomb and wait for four audio ticks
- Roll onto the middle of the platform (too far out and you won't be blasted forward and too close will blow you up)
- Immediately stand up to walk towards the edge of the platform
- Jump as soon as the explosion sound plays

Cap Hops and Execution

Bottlecaps, when used casually, can be used to distract or lure over wandering sligs. In Speedrunning, they are manipulated to be used as an extended platform. This is where the wording of a cap hop is used: When Abe manipulates his hitbox with the droppable bottle cap entity.

The best piece of knowledge to know for executing a cap hop -- which is mainly used in Scrabania and the Boardroom as well as once in Rupture Farms -- is momentum. Since sprint jumping in the game is faster than simply sprinting or even rolling, we know that momentum is definitely a valid variable in the movement mechanics of the game. You can watch this video to learn how to use momentum to guarantee a cap hop.

Simply jump a few meters before the actual jump, then once Abe is just at/over the edge of the platform, drop your cap and jump very soon after.

Quantum Cap Trick Execution

This is by far the most difficult trick in the game and is used at the very end of the game. Execution of this trick saves over 40 seconds of time as you entirely skip having to bring down the elevator.

The Quantum cap is quite difficult to get the timing for, but practice on the trick can make it consistent.

Here's a step by step process for doing the trick:
- Start walking towards the edge of the platform
- As the back of Abe's feet are off the platform, immediately drop your cap
- Right after you drop your cap, hold right
- As Abe's head reaches the bottom of the platform (when just before the little white light flair), crouch while continuing to move right (don't spam crouch or Abe won't move correctly)
- When you land on the platform, crouch again and continue right
