Timing Without Loads

LiveSplit is able to tell when your game is loading so that it can subtract time spent waiting for your computer from your total. Here's how you can set this up for yourself.

1 — Download the and extract the ASL script. You can find it in the "Resources" tab (https://www.speedrun.com/nsggg/resources).

2 — Set LiveSplit to compare against game time. Right click on your LiveSplit window and select "Game Time" under the "Compare Against" dropdown.

3 — Add the script to your layout. Right click on your LiveSplit window and select "Edit Layout..." to open your Layout Editor. Add a new element to your layout (with the plus button in the upper left corner) and choose "Scriptable Auto Splitter" from the "Control" section. Double click on the new element to edit it in Layout Settings, and change the script path to match the location where you extracted the ASL script. 

If the script was set up correctly, your timer within LiveSplit should stop counting up whenever you reach a loading screen.
