A splits file for the 108 Best Badges category.  As the name implies, every hole in the Tournaments is played out with a Birdie or better using a Memory Card from New-Game.  While less challenging than its Mario Golf 64 conjugate, it still tests your speed, risk/reward skills, and putting.

108 Best Badges

A splits file for anyone who wants to try this demanding challenge.  As the name implies, the goal is to collect all 216 Best (Birdie or better) Badges.  Allow over 3 hours for this (maybe over 4 if you have trouble with Star Tournaments).

This patch will replace Lakitu Valley with the new custom course Congo Canopy Remix.  This is a Par 66 course that remixes the teebox-to-green combinations within Congo Canopy to create new experiences.  Includes a new nighttime environment with swapped music and new icons for the course.  Do not play Ring Attack or Coin Attack; they still use their Lakitu Valley data and are thus unplayable.

Use a patching tool such as DeltaPatcher to patch your disc image file; BE SURE TO MAKE A COPY BEFORE PATCHING.

The patched file can be played on Dolphin or a homebrew Wii console.

For the disc file itself - that is your responsibility at your own risk.  The safest method is to dump it from your own disc using a homebrew application.




Congo Canopy Remix

This is a splits file for the "100%" category, which essentially means winning all Tournaments, Star Tournaments, and obtaining every Star character.  Notice there is no separate split for Boo, since that is concurrent with Tournaments (You should be able to get 50 Badges in that span).

New updates include improved icons, subsplits, world-record info.  Feel free to change the split order if you wish to follow a different route.

MGTT "100%"

Uses subsplits in livesplit, have subsplits in your own layout (not included) for best viewing. This is the most optimized route of 100% as of upload time. It takes advantage of character selection and memory card usage as efficiently as possible, but proves difficult in that some harder splits are later on in the run. Things to take note of: numbers next to any tourney split are the cutoff for that tourney that you need to tie or better to win and unlock the next tourney; "ccf" next to Diddy indicates that the first 3 character matches are done on Lakitu, and ALL of the remaining (even character matches II) are done on Cheep Cheep Falls (ccf); "card" next to Wario means at any time during the match against Wario, the memory card is taken out and you confirm continue without saving after that match. You cannot save and continue holes on Star Bowser Badlands if you do this, so consider the memory card timesave wisely. It only saves about 4 minutes overall, so it may be more important to keep the card in, because once you continue without saving, YOU CANNOT SAVE EVEN BY PUTTING THE CARD BACK IN.

MGTT "100%" Updated (More Difficult) Route Splits

This is the splits file for the brutal compilation category that runs all of 1-player through 4-player Ring Attack co-op modes.  All 108 regulation holes are played, with hundreds of Rings between them.  Definitely allow multiple hours to conquer this.

# I made an auto-splitter for MGTT. It handles automatically starting, splitting and resetting.

### !! This is intended to be used with the JP version of the game !!

It utilizes a LiveSplit plugin that scans a video feed for matching images. It was designed to be used with a console, but it should work on emulator as well.

It works with Any%, 108 Badges, 216 Badges, or any other category that splits using the end of a tournament. I can create a version that splits after every hole if anyone requests it.

Installation:

1. Extract the contents of the zip folder, and place them in the **components** folder contained in your LiveSplit installation:![](/static/blob/xzdow9nm.png)

2. In the LiveSplit layout editor, go to Control -> Video Auto Splitter

3. Create a **redundant** video source of your game. Windows does not play nicely when two programs try to use the same camera, so we will have to duplicate it. The recommended method is to output your game feed using OBS' Virtual Camera.![](/static/blob/1n5xkvz3.png)

4. Download the **mgtt_features.vas** game profile attached to this post. Select it alongside your new video source. The start, split, & reset components can be toggled from this pane.

5. In the **Scan Region** tab, Adjust the values for **Width** and **Height** until a yellow haze fills the whole frame. You should have four blue squares, with the bottom left square snug with the corner of the game. **If you do not see a video feed, this is typical.** Wait 30-60s for everything to initialize. If this does not work, troubleshooting steps involve going to the settings tab, refreshing, and then restarting LiveSplit.![](/static/blob/rnq8kmnj.png)

6. In the Splits Editor, adjust **Start Timer at** to 0.35. This corrects the inaccuracy with the scanning region auto-start uses.

A splits file for the abominable category known as "All Character Matches".  Just so that you wouldn't have to separate them from the "100%" splits file.

This is a ZIP folder containing dozens of icons that may prove useful for customizing your timers or any other project pertaining to this game.
There are still a few minor icons missing, so I'll reupload this sometime in the future.
If you need to re-edit these icons, I recommend Paint.NET or Gimp as freeware options.
