While it was completely my fault, one of my runs was rejected because I used a wrong version of Sodium. Out of curiosity, why are the older/other versions of Sodium not allowed?
Older versions: https://www.speedrun.com/mc/news/2078 Other versions: ehh I think it's bcuz the allowed sodium in the mods list is optimized and changed so that all of them follow the MCSR rules, and so if you use the other sodium that are made outside, there's a good chance that you've accidentally cheated... Idk, just my thoughts
Hey n00bie, thanks for your response. I think I understand where you're coming from, but I don't quite understand the link you sent. Did I miss something or what is the link about?
oh uhh the link is just about when it's banned to use older sodium versions... I think the explanation is the same for the other versions, cheating potentials (more like illegal ig)
old versions are banned because they don't have vanilla video settings unlike the newest version for 1.16.1
