IV. Tricks Mentioned Above
¤ Green Tentacle Skip
  1. Walk up to Green Tentacle

¤¤ Edna Skip
  1. Run just up to Edna 
  2. Immediately turn around and run all the way to the left
  3. Exit through the kitchen door before she captures you

¤¤¤ Lab Door Skip
  1. Open the lab door, but do not go through it just yet
  2. Switch to Razor and ring the doorbell
  3. Immediately switch back to Dave and enter the lab door
  4. Wait until Ed's cutscene plays, and immediately exit the cutscene
  5. Run past Purple Tentacle

How the Cutscenes Work

All of the times mentioned here are affected by load times etc. So it's always going to take at least a little longer and e.g. the more screen transitions you go through, the longer the delay.

The first lab cutscene ("Well, my dear. Hope you're having fun! ...") happens 60 seconds after the player enters the mansion for the first time. The second lab cutscene starts 45 minutes after the first one finished.

Ed's "Gee, I'm hungry!" cutscene (that leads to him walking down to the kitchen) happens 63 seconds after the player opens the refrigerator for the first time - but only if Green Tentacle is not fully fed yet.

The package arrives 5 minutes and 5 seconds after the player enters the floor 3 hallway for the first time - unless they are outside the mansion with their currently active character at that moment.

The cutscene where Dr. Fred plays Meteor Mess (that "unlocks" the lab door) plays 4 minutes after the wires in the attic are fixed - unless there is a kid in the statue hall, arcade room, Edna's room or Ed's room at that moment.

The meteor police arrives 5 minutes and 10 seconds after making the call.

The cutscene in the publisher's office happens 4 minutes and 30 seconds after sending the letter and the contract arrives in the mailbox 5 minutes after that - again, only if the player's active kid is not currently outside.

Edna spawns in the kitchen when the player first enters the mansion and stays there for 5 minutes or until a kid approaches her.

Whenever Ed or Edna return back to their rooms, they don't actually walk through the house. They disappear for 15 seconds and then appear in the floor 3 hallway at the stairs.

When Ed goes downstairs he DOES move from room to room. He appears at the door of each room and stays there for 5s before appearing in the next room.

Rule Set

Start Timer:
The Timer starts at the beginning when the menu bar appears and you gain control about your character.
(After the Intro and Choosing the characters)

End Timer:
The Timer ends when you use the yellow key on the car.
