Any% - start timing

When I get new record, this person(dima)doubt my record.

He always say ”Disc Speed is unfair.

it's logical to start time from 1ST STAGE.”

I don't want to tell him the same thing over and over again.

So I suggest start time from ”1st stage”.

I don't doubt your record. Your run is cool!

Yes, you beat my record (your record is 17m 46s, my record is 17m 47s).

You used Disk Speed "Fast". But not all players have PS2 and can't do this disk speed.

And if we take the countdown from the display of "1st stage" screen, it turns out that in this case my record is 17m 43s, and your record is 17m 44s.

So what should we do? Raids_shine, are you planning to speedrun this game further?

I already talked Disc Speed at ”Is this allowed?” forum and japanese discord server ”I.Q FINAL”.

So, people who had the environment and information to use it did not use it.

But, only I used it.

I want to break my record again.

It doesn't matter what version you have: Japanese or American, if we speak about Disk Speed "Fast".

I went off the topic.

I think start timing is like that.

This start timing don't have difference of model, regions, and hardware settings.

Because you used disk speed "Fast" (some users simply don’t have a PS2), your "1st stage" screen appears after 1-2 seconds, while for me it appears after 3 seconds. I played on ePSXe emulator.

PS1 is 4 seconds. And PS3 is 3-5 seconds. (I have PS1.)

”Disk Speed: fast” is allowed now.

What do you need? What can I do?

Ukraine

Hm, interesting....

I suppose it must be Disk Speed: Normal. So that all users have the same conditions)
