Currently Existing Tech for Demo 3 (as of 06/19/2025)

# There are only 3 main techs used in Holstin Demo 3:

**Foolswap**: Also known as *foolswapping*, is whenever you *enter / exit a gap* or *mantle / dismount a ledge* then immediately opening the menu to unequip and then equip a weapon in your inventory to skip the *entering / exiting / climbing / dismounting* animation while you are in the middle of the animation of climbing, dismounting, etc.

If you have more than one weapon in your inventory you can simply just change to a different weapon and the tech will work just fine.

How to **Foolswap**:

Step 1: Interact with ledge or gap
Step 2: Immediately after the interacting or at the start of the animation, open the menu
Step 3: Unequip currently equipped weapon
Step 4: Equip any weapon in your inventory
Step 5: Success

If you do not have any weapon currently equipped, you can skip Step 3.

When done correctly, Your character will teleport at the end destination of whatever surface or gap you're trying to get in, out, on or off of. As long as you open the menu right after interacting, there is no time requirement for the inputs aforementioned.

The term was coined from the runner named **DamFool** that discovered the tech hence the name **Foolswap**. This tech is the foundation of all the skips found currently in the game at the time of this writing.

**Cukier skip**: Doing this tech is the same as the **Foolswap** inputs but only using the ladder to make Tomasz *float in the air,* thus being able to fly around and skip certain parts of the map. The downside of this tech however is the limited spots you can set it up and exit.

How to do the **Cukier skip**:
Do a **Foolswap** on the ladder in either spot

When done correctly, the elevation from the ground and being able to walk past certain ledges and fences is fairly noticeable or just by not being able to interact with most things in the world.

There are only two spots where you can place the ladder to do the **Cukier skip** near **Gaweł** and a couple of spots to exit which is the bus ledges and the pushable car inside the yard

The term was coined from the runner **Cukier** that discovered this unique setup using the ladder that skipped a decent portion of the run.

**Fcancel**: Also known as **Foolswap cancelling** or **Fcancel** for short, is when after doing a **Foolswap**, you will immediately dash out of the equipping animation to prevent Tomasz from equipping the weapon. The purpose of this tech is to set you up for the next ledge to lessen the amount of inputs you have to use in a **Foolswap** on your next ledge or gap.

Normally, you would have to repeat the cycle of "Interact > Menu > Unequip > Equip" go to the next ledge or gap "Interact > Menu > Unequip > Equip" go to the next ledge or gap "Interact > Menu > Unequip > Equip" and so on. Doing an **Fcancel** however, would cancel out the last equip input so that in your next interaction you only have to equip a weapon rather than having to unequip whatever is in your hand first.

So rather than Foolswapping:
*Interact > Menu > Unequip > Equip*

It's going to look like:
*Interact > Menu > Equip*

It saves you a little bit of time with less inputs and if you have enough stamina you can chain Fcancels together and would look something like this:

*Interact > Menu > Equip > Dash > Interact > Menu > Equip > Dash* and so on.

Do note that the equipping animation is fairly short so dashing too late will not work if you're tying to Fcancel. A good tip would be to dash immediately as soon as you press equip or dash as soon as you see the menu close.

Difficulties (Demo (09/06/25)

The new demo category (released yesterday, June 9, 2025) has been added, with the Easy - Hard difficulties.
This category will be IGT, like the previous demo, which is displayed at the bottom left after the demo ends.
The selected difficulty must be displayed; otherwise, the run will be rejected.
