- Follow readme for the installation of the addon http://bit.ly/Qs6abM
- Type "speedrun_dir ./rundemos/" and make a rundemos folder in your unpack/hl2 folder to avoid clutter
- Type "speedrun_start" in console to start autorecording demos
- Stop demos by typing "speedrun_stop" in the console at the final explosion
- Time your demos with this tool http://bit.ly/1fsyZK0
- Subtract 1:01 from your final time due to the cutscene on trainstation_01

It has recently been discovered that the commonly used speedrun package referred to as the "5135 Unpack" has made changes that grant its users unfair advantages which were never present in any vanilla version of the game.
