Depending on which category you're playing and how many lives you can afford to lose before the boss fight, failing is the best option for many minigames. Nevertheless, you may still prefer completing some very fast ones, such as "Q the cow" and "Odd one out".

[ [ BOSS FIGHT ] ]

During the boss fight, failing any minigame will kill your run. Unfortunately, there seems to be an occasional bug where the minigame you're playing suddenly changes after ~1s to another minigame (with no transitions) and the previous one counts as a failure. :(
