You don't think ELO should profit? I'm confused on how you think they're going to afford to expand / why they should be running the site then.
Ads are definitely too much already though, the video as especially, I'm not saying they're not.
I probably should've added more. I meant that ELO is trying to make a profit so much so that it's ruining the site. I'm not dumb it's a company they need money to stay afloat.
Also paying for Supporter isn't helping the site it's helping ELO. If you're thinking that if enough people buy Supporter it'll make the site ad free for everyone well that's just not going to happen. If you don't like Supporter then the best thing you can do is not buy it. That'll let ELO know that it isn't going to work.
As stated earlier an adblocker and a third party script does what Supporter does and does it even better.
Although if ELO does make it so enough people buying Supporter will make it ad free for everyone then I could probably get behind it as that's basically just the donation model. However, that doesn't seem to be their plan right now.
When Pac ran the site the sever went down a lot but as I said earlier, it's better than what we have now with 5/6 ads on every page and even having ads overlay over other ads and adding features basically no one asked for.
If Elo aren't ready to handle the site properly then maybe they should've never bought it in the first place.
And again, as I said earlier. A supporter model could work but right now there's not much of an incentive to buy it because 3rd party services do what it does and even do it better. All for free.
And I do understand that it's a business and they need to cover server costs, employee costs etc but I just don't think they're handling it in the right way.
At least say how they aren't supported[flag:nl]
just accept paypal alredy holy cow lmaoooo what even means "methods are being currently discussed", which for now has ended in nothing; what realy is the problem in adding payment methods seriously paypal should be like the first thing you add for a subscription payment like common, literaly the visa is the only thing i remember seeing before of the 4 cards there are in the "card number" section for doing the payment
