I was wondering if anybody could help me get the username “Technoblade” for Technoblade as me and Technoblade are going to live stream speedrunning tomorrow it would be a big help thanks.

I think there's some way to get usernames if a user hasn't logged in for 6 months, but this account is active on the site sorta. You could dm them on discord and ask them to change their name, or you could make the name technobIade, with an uppercase I instead of a lowercase l

The criteria is:

• Not submitted a run before. (✓)
• Not been active for 6 months (×)

Since this user has been active in the last 6 months, the name cannot be transferred to Technoblade by SRC staff. You'll need to contact the account holder directly. Sorry. Good luck with the speedruns tomorrow though guys! :)

Well then sadly, the name can't be used. Technoblade will just have to create an SRC account with a slightly different username (eg. Use TechnobIade with an i, not Technoblade with an L. That was aforementioned in this thread). Sorry guys. Wish I could've helped more, but unfortunately rules are rules.

The user @Techno hasn't submitted any runs or been online in 4 years, so if you want that username you could take it.

@garsh i think you just need to have as your twitch a twitch partner linked.

@Garsh there is no authentication or verification when adding a social media link to your speedrun.com profile. That means you can link to any social media profile you want. In this case they linked to a twitch channel that isn't theirs.
