Well my bad maybe it's just a personnal thing, I shouldn't make it a general thing, sorry for the confusion
There is and stop pretending that it isn't. 90% of people who spam runs in random games to get their WR or run count up. It also does not really increase traffic significantly for games and most of the "farmed games" are mobile games or webgames that literally no one cares about, which is why they are chosen as a target.
Someone submitting runs to a small game is not a crime. It doesn't matter if the game is cared about or not, only if the moderator makes an effort
Just because something is a webgames, or is 'dead' does not mean nobody cares about it. Pretty much every game I run fits that description and I care a lot about all of them. There are definitely problems with farming but "they only run games nobody cares about" is not one of them. That's such a bad take.
I did never imply that no one cares about webgames or dead games, I said specifically that the majority of people who do malicious farming for WRs are looking for abandoned games, where there is no competition. The don't care part more of a paraphrase to describe that no one will bother to beat the run.
Allow for better video game browsing so users can look at the entire library that is on the website. Users should be able to hit the letter of the title for the game I want to look at. For example if I want to see all the games that start with M, I have to hit "Load Next 50" for about 150 times before I actually make it to the M's. That takes way too much time. And in the search bar it has to be an exact game title that I search, I can't just type in Bear and see all the games that have Bear in their title. Just frustrating when users want to make a list of games they want to play from the library here and it takes longer to browse the games then it does to play the game.
that no one will bother to beat the run
Wow, that's such an issue! You should be happy that someone is running a less active game
