Hi all! I just have a few questions about 3DS' game save data.:
A) Does anyone know if it is accurate that the 3DS' save data for digital downloads goes only to the SD card and that a download could create an extra batch of save slots because it would ignore the cartridge save data?
B) Also, If I bought an extra 3DS, could I use the same game cartridge and pick up another batch of save slots?
C) Do game cartridges for 3DS create another group of save slots when they detect a new handheld or would they just upload the same original group of save slots to multiple handhelds?
D) Finally, does anyone know how many save slots the following games have?:
-
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate
-
Disney Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion
-
Hot Wheels: World's Best Driver
-
Hyrule Warriors Legends: NO

With the exception of Fantasy Life, save files for cartridge games are on the cartridge itself, so you would not get an extra set of save files on a different system. You would be able to get an extra set of save files by downloading the digital version of the game. There is also a free app on the 3DS eShop that allows you to move save data from a cartridge to a digital version.
I can also tell you off the top of my head that Pokémon Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, X, and Y all have only one save file.
