There is a rom hack for the NES that i speedrun named Super Luigi Bros (I used to be mod in this game). A day ago i submitted a run (31.4) in the 1-1 Fire Luigi category that is faster than a tas someone created (31.83) and a speedrunner named Xein said that the run must be sped up because its not possible to beat the tas. Then he made a forum post about it and i was banned from the leaderboards and demodded. I wasnt cheating or speeding up the game and i uploaded a video comparing xeins, the tas, and my pb but the mods still say im cheating. Is there anyone that can help?
Which emulator did you use? Did you change some settings in it? this could give different performance if it isn't an accurate emulator

@Seydie I used Nestopia as the emulator and the timing was set to default, you should check the forums of that game because there was discussion about my run there.
I looked at the comparison video and I don't see anything fishy about your run. You grab the pool lower, so the animation of the flag pool is quicker. Also you turn around when grabbing the Fire Flower this is also faster.

This entire thing is a clusterfuck and the mods involved in that issue are a collective disgrace.
I just checked the rules of the game and I am a little confused No splicing, no TAS. Which is a given tbh
"Times below 5:20 need a video" its an emulator pc run mostly its easy to record and it's not to popular a game where that would need to be implemented right? If they care so much about cheating why all categories have weird video rules some you must show video some the run needs to be below 2:50 can someone tell me why a board like that would do this I am genuinely confused I thought only games like super mario odyssey did that? :) sorry
@Liv I don't think they have proof except them saying that i cheated. Yesterday i asked Kingof_jonnyboy, a mod of the game, to ask epicness_1o1 to make a comparison of the tas grabs and the rta grabs but as far as i know he didn't create it yet, so theres basically no proof that i cheated.
Side question: why is the only platform for the game NESClassic?
Can't a game category be nes? I am guessing people are running on a nes emu and not a nes classic emu? ^^ idk to much about this
Tbh i dont really know why the game category is always nesclassic. Someone added an NES game category one point but was removed.
The NES Classic is basically an NES emulator on Linux. I imagine it works fine, even modded, to play ROM hacks and such. But ignoring potential issues with that, no one is emulating the classic. In any case; it's clearly an NES rom hack. There are runs the LB that clearly have nothing to do with an NES Classic.
It's the simple things...
The mods of that game are kids who make disstracks on each other and jerk each other off to no end. I'm not surprised some shit like this has happened.
It's not good enough, the whole thing, and I'm sorry that you've had to go through this extra hassle.
